The printing does not correspond with the margins as set on Microsoft Word; prints too low on the page.
I have a Magicolor 2400w and had the same problem... I hope I'm not to late because I almost put mine in the trash.
How I fixed the problem was I adjusted the solenoid behind the fan on the right side. I made a video and posted is on YouTube. Search YouTube for Magicolor 2400w paper size error. or follow the link.

SOURCE: won't print when text on the page
Export the page as a jpeg, 150 dpi, high quality, then delete all the items on that page in the indesign document (text & images), then import the jpeg to that page it will fit exactly.
This works most times!

This is because the margins are defined on the printing settings.
You may go to Printing preferences and change the same, if you prefer.
If this doesn't work for you, please comment and let me know, and I will be more than happy to assist you to further resolve your issue.
I will appreciate your feedback and positive rating for this solution.
Thank you.

Hi, Hmmmm, well most laser printer simply cannot print right out to the edge due to the geometry of how they are setup and how the laser printer Fuser bar physically functions, it simply cannot get hot enough right out at the very edges to effectively fuse the toner onto the paper, so they simply don't/can't.they usually must always have this edge around them, due to this.
Some commercial inkjets and some special printers can..
The best you can do, is print out as far as margins allow, about 1/8"? and use a guillotine to cut off the excess.?
The page margins appear in your document as dotted lines.
You can use these dotted lines to correct your margins so that your student's assignments are not cut off and there is no large margin as you have mentioned in your question.
You can view page margins in either Print Layout or Web Layout view only, and they do not appear on the printed page.
Hope this helps
