P8b75-mle will not shut down

I have installed an Asus P8B75-MLE mother board with Windows 7 as the operating system. When I try to shut down the computer, the computer will go through shutdown. The video will shut off but the computer does not shut off completely. The fans and lights stay on. If I hold the power button 4 seconds, the system will shut off. Thanks for you help.

Repaired computer myself. Removed CMOS battery to reset BIOS, waited 2-3 minutes, replaced battery, rebooted and shut down. The computer shuts down correctly.

Hit control alt delete and look and see how many running programs you, most of the time it is a background running program that locks up the shut down process. On average you should have only 60 to 70 programs running. Reduce these and your start ups and shut downs will be much quicker, there are third party software that can enable you to do this with ease, or you can search google .

New computer will not shut down

Try going to your power option in the control panel. Make sure that hibernate is disabled, change what power buttons do. Make sure when you press power button it is set to shut down. Choose when computer sleeps as never.

Installed new Asus M4A78LT-MLE, when windows loads, finds new device drivers keeps locking up, and wireless or PS/2 mouse & keyboard frozen from boot so cant manuever open anything?

It sounds like you have upgraded from another board to the M4A78LT-MLE and you have not reinstalled windows. If this is the case then are going to have terrible troubles with drivers and lock ups. Believe me, reinstall windows a fresh then install your drivers then windows updates and all will be well. Oh by the way use the asus site for the latest drivers and not those on the disk that came with the motherboard.

Are necessary the driver for ASUS M4A78LT-MLE

Yes you must install all of the drivers for your mainboard, necessary drivers are Audio, Ethernet and Graphics drivers. Drivers enable those controllers to function.
The drivers can be found on the CD that came with your mainboard.

Take care!

I need display driver for asus a8v vm mother board ( windows 7 )

Hi,

Go to the following link and select the operating system from drop down list.

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=A8V-VM&p=1&s=21

As "windows 7" is not available in the options to download, it seems that these motherboards are not compatible with windows 7. You can either try to install drivers for vista on windows 7(as mostly it works fine) or you can drop windows 7 and you can install windows vista on this machine.

try flashing it using the latest BIOS drivers from the manufacturer's website, place the drivers in a floppy disk, then boot the PC with the floppy inserted to begin the flash process. I'm sure you'll find details on upgrading the BIOS on the manufacturer's website.

My Mother boards asus M4A78LT-MLE but when computer start fast screen appear " this cpu is not supports please call asus costumer care" and pres F1 enter bottom to star contnue, processor fan...

Click here to view the list of supported processors for the ASUS M4A78LTM LE Mainboard.

The AMD AM3 Phenom 2 X4 965 3.4GHz is not supported as it is a 125Watt or 140Watt Processor.

The ASUS M4A78LTM LE Mainboard supports up and including a 95Watt Processor.

Therefore you either need to downgrade, purchase a Processor that is supported as shown in the list or purchase a Mainboard that supports your AMD AM3 Phenom 2 X4 965 3.4GHz Processor.

I myself would go for an ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 Mainboard, its a good companion for that monster of a Processor you have got.

See if you are able to return the Mainboard and purchase the ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3

There is also the cheaper ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO

Tell me how it goes!

All the Best!
