Iphone won't start up

Worked perfectly earlier today. Acts like battery is dead, but I've left it on charge for an hour to no avail. It won't take a charge and it's not reacting to the on button on top even if held down for a period of time.

It's not booting up. hook it to the computer and see if iTunes sees it when you bring it up holding home and power for 6 secs. then releasing power and hold home longer. Restore it when itunes sees it and it should work again.

SOURCE: Hi my iPhone 3GS is dead. I have tried everything

It probably just a defective battery. Bring it to the apple store to see if you get a replacement through them. If you can't, there are third party iPhone repair services, that will fixed it for cheap. Also, I found an DYI iphone repair guide, so you can do it yourself too, not that difficult.

Try a different cable.
Try a different power supply.
When removing your power cable from your iPhone, NEVER wiggle the cable! Always pull out in a straight line, and NEVER pull it via the cable.

Acts like dead battery, drove 2 hours earlier and ran/started fine. Battery has full charge however. Could it be a bad solenoid?

If battery has full charge, then the current is not reaching motor. U need to check all switches, relays etc. that are in between the battery and the motor. Also check the battery connections for corrosion.

Should work on this older model start engine and try with engine running at around 2000rpm and see what happens,i think you just have a low battery voltage here and it will not work like this but a good charge of the battery or running the engine should make it start working

2000 Chrysler Sebring w/year old battery.  Advise, what could have occurred when AAA jump me???  Left tiny interior light on under my mirror--battery dead.  After AAA came, I let it run

I doubt the service person did anything wrong. In today's cars with both engine and body computers, jump starting a car can be risky.
You're better off having the battery charged for an hour or so then trying to start it.
You may have to have the body computer scanned and possibly flashed to get everything working again. The body computer controls everything you mentioned. It could have lost some of the factory programming when the system was dead.

Truck will not keep and charge over night

The battery won't keep a charge or it won't when it is in the truck? Will the battery keep a charge if you put it on the charger and then unplug it overnight, all of this out of the truck. Then in the morning will it start the truck. If not your battery is bad. If it keeps a charge and will start the truck and then it goes dead after several hours, your truck is drawing a load on the battery. You will have to find what has been left on or shorted out.

Chances are your phone got too hot during the night and overcharged the Lithium Ion battery. If those batteries are exposed to too much heat then they won't have the battery life they used to have. You need to purchase a replacement battery or contact your wireless carrier to see about getting another one.

Hi,
the battery cannot be easily removed form you iPhone, if at all.

how did you turn off your iPhone ? Was it using a long press on the Sleep button, which makes a slider appear saying " Slide to Power Off" ?
if that didn't work, try this :
-press and hold the Home button, while at the same time pressing and holding the Sleep button
-keep holding those 2 buttons until the Apple logo appears. This could take as long as 10 seconds or more.
this action resets the memory circuits, and may resolve the problem.

I pack my car this morning and when i came back to stat it it couldn,t.so it was jump started. i drove for less than one mile and and it went off again. i recharged the battery again, i drove...

3 possibilities are:
  • Dead cell in battery; a battery with a dead cell won't accept a charge from the alternator
  • Bad alternator; if the car will run on it's own without stalling, the alternator is probably still good; if the car stalls you may have alternator problems
  • Bad starter; (assuming you've ruled out alternator problems) a bad starter will start when the car is cold; once warm, it requires more power to engage than the battery has therefore, it needs a jump start
I'd advise bringing the car to a shop (most autoparts chains will do a free electrical system check) and have the electrical system checked.
