Receiving error C:31:42. Removed tape, battery, and left opened, but still get error

Receiving error C:31:42. Removed tape, battery, and left opened overnight to remove any condensation, but still get error. Used a different tape, but that didn't help either. Users manual indicates these are the steps to follow. Any suggestions?

How long did you leave it to dry? I had a similar problem and had to leave out my camera for more than a day before the problem was resolved.

Why do I get the error code C:32:11 or C:31:42?

Does it try to eject the tape? Try a gentle help on that. The tape may have gotten snarled in the camera.
tip

Error 161, 163

Errors 161, 192, 163.
All three of these errors are connected to the back up
battery.
To resolve this problem:
1. open memory flap on base of laptop (small philips
screwdriver required)
2. find the small connector with 1 black & 1 red wire
coming from it.
3. disconnect above connector and gently pull the
Red&black wires. The backup battery should just pull out
from under the casing.
4. get replacement battery. Either
a. call IBM spares (07900 247 490 in UK) and ask for FRU:
02K6502. UK price is about £8 + £15 delivery + VAT.
b. if comfortable with soldering iron: Carefully open the
packaging on the backup battery using a sharp knife.
Remove the solder tags from the battery (these are spot
welded so need to be cut/broken off). Buy a new CR2025
battery from any computer shop, jeweler, or camera shop.
Using electrical tape, insulate all round edge of battery
(see the one just removed). Solder the leads onto the new
battery - note polarity. Red wire to +, black wire to -.
Using more insulating tape, wrap battery so that all
exposed metal is covered.
5. put new battery into laptop (reverse steps 1-3)
6. start up computer, error 192 has gone, but still shows
161, 163. Select OK.
7. reset date & time, and OK
8. when screen shows 'O / I' restart laptop using on/off
switch at side.

I experience problems with my VCR. A tape got stuck. After I removed the tape, it comes up with an error message F03

If you have children who can access the machine, unplug it, turn it upside down and listen for any rattles or loose bits inside. Kids are notorious for 'posting' coins, half eaten snacks and the like into the 'letter box'. Any loose objects, particularly metal, MUST be removed before switching on again. If a tape has become damaged, bits left inside the machine, it will have to opened up to remove the debris and ensure that the tape transport path including all rollers etc are cleared.

My espon stylus sx425w give this error code e01.

If you are just using your printer for the first time, you're receiving this error because there are still protective covers that need to be removed to complete the unpackaging process. Look for small strips of lightly colored tape in the interior areas (where you load paper, ink, etc) and around the sides.

There's some tape on the left side that's particularly common to miss.

Error code 5C00 what is this and how do you repair this erroe

Hello,
This error is shown when there is any kind of foreign material or packing material stuck inside the printer which restricting the printhead to move freely. To resolve this issue, please follow the instructions mentioned below:
1) Confirm that the printer is powered off.
2) Disconnect the power cord from the printer or at the wall outlet or both.
3) Open the paper output tray and then lift up the scanning unit cover until it locks into position.
CAUTION: The orange protective tape may prevent you from opening the paper output tray. If that is the case, please refer to the illustration in step 3 to ensure the white foam piece is removed along with the protective tape. skumar_sreen.gif

4) Pull the orange protective tape (A) and remove the white foam (protective material) (B). skumar_sreen.jpg

5) If the the white foam was not removed along with the orange protective tape, check for it on the right, inside the printer. a) With the printer powered off and unplugged, slide the print head carriage to the left. b) Looking inside the printer from the left, locate the white foam in front of the purge area. Note: It is recommended to use a thin latex glove as there may be ink mist on the white foam or surrounding print area. skumar_sreen_0.jpg
c) Cautiously remove the white foam with your hands. Be careful not to touch any other components in the printer.

6) After removing the packing material, look for and remove any other paper debris or foreign objects from the extreme left and right sides of the carriage area.

7) Close the scanning unit cover.

8) Reconnect the power cord and then power on the printer.

I have a sony dig 8 trv340 and am receiving an error code of c31:42 what does this mean?

Hi,

In DCRTRV430 Camcorder, the C:31:42 error message is a Self diagnostic display. This message can be clearly identified by the help of a Sony Authorized service technician. Each of these codes indicates the symptoms and resolutions of the Camcorder. In C:31:42, the issue is with the tape and the tape mechanism.

I suggest that you remove and reinsert the tape to check if it helps. You may also try inserting new tapes in the Camcorder. Please remove the battery and/or power cable, connect, and perform operations from the beginning. You may also try resetting the Camcorder back to factory default after removing the tape.

To Reset the Camcorder, perform the steps below:

? Please open the LCD screen to locate the RESET button.

? To reset the Camcorder, press the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object.

? Please make sure that the Camcorder is turned on while pressing the reset button.

Also, try turning off the Camcorder and remove the battery pack. Then move the 'Power Switch' of the Camcorder to the ON position

for 1 minute. After about 1 minute, move the 'Power Switch' to the OFF position.

Now reinsert the battery, turn on the Camcorder and check whether it is working fine.

Thanks.

C62 error code - NASHUA 8112RE

Is this right out of the box?? If it is, make sure that you have removed all the SHIPPING SCREWS. Check for the one that holds the optical scanner. If this screw is left in the scanner will not move and cause error. ---should be on left side or under left side of optical pan. If all shipping screws are removed, do a once over and check to make sure that all shipping tape and paper are removed. Some companies use tape to hold parts in place.

Does not print

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Turn it over and remove the battery cover.
3. Looking above the batteries, you will see a square opening into the upper part of the printer. In that opening you will see a white gear. Sometimes it seizes. Take a long, thin object (screw driver, letter opener, etc) and rotate the gear. It does not matter which way you turn it.
4. Because your range of motion is limited in the small opening, turn the gear in the same direction about 10-12 times so it gets a full revolution.
5. Now turn on your printer and try it again.
