Today when I plugged in my garmin to the car I got a "upgrade bluetooth firmware message" then I unplugged the unit and tried to power off power on. But now I got a blank screen and I cannot turn the unit off.
Do I have to wait several hours until the battery dies?
Please help.

I had the same issue, prior to downloading the update. So I downloaded the update and when it asks you if you want to check for further updates for this device, select yes. There, you'll find the bluetooth update. After I installed it, the device seemed to work perfectly. My garmin nuvi 360 has yet to disconnect from my phone, and it's been several hours since I updated.
Best of luck to you!

SOURCE: My garmin nuvi 360 goes in simulated driving mode
if you recently plotted a course and used the simulation mode, it will stay there either till you deactivate it, or you arrive at the destination. go to the simulation mode and see if its in simulation, if so, stop it.
SOURCE: My Garmin Nuvi 255 died. How do I reset it?
Hello there:
If you unplug the unit and remove the battery
i would check the fuse inside the unit to be sure that it is ok if it is than
leave it unplugged and the batttery out for 30 min and if there is a reset button on this after the battery is removed hold in the reset in for 2 minutes then after the 30 min replace the battery and plug in the unit and try it again his should be enough time for the internal reset to reset it'self than just replace the battery and if this still oes not help remove the battery again and leave it sit for 1 hour to let the internal reset device reset it'self ok and you should be good to go
Hope this is very helpful
Best regards Michael
