Battery door on Kodak easy share CX6330 will not stay closed

I have had this camera for a very long time and to be honest if I have to throw it away - I am ok with that. Anyway, the battery compartment door will not stay closed - is there any fix I can do to repair this ?

Had computer crash...bought new computer...now trying to install software for my kodak camera easy share cx6330

The best way to install is to visit Kodak.com and download the latest version of the software that was developed for your new computer's OS. As always with Kodak, it's a free download.

I have a kodak easyshare cx6330. It won't do anything. I've put new batteries in it and tried numerous things to no avail. If I set it on charger base I only get one light on the bar and it stays that way....

Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

My Easy Share (Z730) is in the open position & will not close.

VERY COMMON WITH EASY SHARE. There are only a couple things you can really do. FIrst, try removing the memory card and try it. Than if that dosen't work. Try holding power button while gently wiggleing the zoom.

I have fixed the problem! For any out there with a the same problem, all you have to do is smack the extended lense against your palm firmly then turn the camera back on. It just worked for me and no more error, camera is now working fine. Good luck!!

Kodak CX6330 dogital camera

I have this camera and it sparked on me back in April and no longer works. I have taken it apart several times in attempts to fix it. If you are still in need I can send you my toggle switch as I'm preparing to trash it.

Found a similar question on this page with a possible solution: they said to clean the connections. I cleaned mine with an alcohol swab, they etched theirs with a diamond pen? And voila! it actually worked!! Good luck.
