Water fills the washer during spin cycle

I have a Whirlpool stacked washer/dryer that is about 3 years old. It's been a couple of weeks now that water starts filling the machine as it approaches the spin cycle and continues to do so during the spin cycle. As a consequence, my clothes are very wet at the end and it takes 3-4 dry cycles to get them dry.  The other issue is that the washer won't stop after the spin cycle, but it continues with a full permanent press one. I am not sure what the exct model of my Whirlpool thin twin is. How can I find out? It was pre-installed in my condo and no papers were left behind.
Thanks a lot!

Whirlpool ite6234d thin twin could someone tell me in detail where the belt is located in the washer?

I can not find your model number that you posted.
I can tell you that all whirpool thin twins up to last year were direct drive with no belt except for the dryer section. Whirlpool stackers from the early eighties did have a washer belt if yours is this old replace the entire machine.

Washer stopped during spin cycle

Hello, try to checked the pump filter, and the pump is actually working. then I would suspect a draining problem.
If filter clean and pump works fine then it could be a control module fault. if this were the case, then it would probably be wiser to purchase a new washer.
Thanks

Small puddle of water underneath washer when wash cycle was completed.

That could be 1 of a couple things.

1) During the agitate cycle... some water could've made it out of tub.

2) Possible Tub Crack (or overflow line)

3) Check your inlet lines

I would run it again watching it very carefully to determine if any of these are the problem.

Whirlpool wshser-dryer: water won't drain, cycles won't start

You need to give more info in order for a diagnosis. Is this a compact stack unit or an all -in -one unit or an interconnected washer/dryer pair ? Is it front load or top load washer ? What do you mean by "dry cycle"? Is that dryer cycle or is it washer cycle without water ?
Usually when water cannot be drained it is a bad coupling connector on the motor drive, or a bad or clogged pump (small socks have been known to get sucked in an lodged in the pumps); in either case you need a good mechanic or a service person to handle the repair because it requires opening up the shell of the unit and getting to the motor/pump assembly. As always, disconnect the power cord before diving into the unit. Good Luck, Macgivor.

Cold water pours in during final spin

No - the timer is the likely suspect.

I have a Whirlpool stacked washer and dryer combination. The water is overflowing on the washer. It happens during the rinse cycle when the water is filling up. It appears that the cycle gets "stuck" in...

check the pressure hose. a kinked clogged or disconnected hose continues to fill. the pressure switch senses the air pressure in the hose.awaiting your further comments. thank you.

Basin will not fill with water during rinse cycle but will agitate and spin.

most new washers have cold water only rinse and spray rinse ck cold water coming into machine during wash if no cold comes in suspect cold side of fill vale not opening ..could be wiring issue or a bad valve

Washer will fill up w/water and wont spin. It still goes through all the cycles.

The fault could be caused by several things, 1. it has a blocked air trap, 2.the lid switch is faulty. 3. The motor to gear box coupling has sheared off or the motor is faulty, there is nothing else that can cause this fault. Regards Engineer
