I have a 1/2 hp Craftsman opener model 139.53635SRT1. Motor worked fine to raise door, when remote is pushed to lower door nothing happens. Electric is working, no obstructions. I waited 15 minutes to see if the overload protection has tripped. (waited and tried several times). When press the wall control the light on the opener comes on and the unit clicks once, but nothing. The same thing happens when I try the remotes.
If you can press and hold the wall button and the door will go down, you have a photo eye issue. Check the photo eyes at the bottom of the door.
New garage door opener 3/4 HP srew Sears. Door open ok, but when close the door went down to the ground and reverse to open. How can I adjust it.
Thanks,
Jay

I have the same problem, my craftsman garage door opened and now it wont go. The electric is still working and the lights still work. It makes a slight "buzz" sound and then nothing. Just like the other problem - there are no obstructions or rail issues that I can see. I tried holding the wall unit button downn - but did not work.
i have the same problem but holding the button will not bring the door down buoght a new switch for inside the garage that didn't work either, eyes are green unless you put something in the way then 1 green light goes out the other stays on door is fine manually lighs go on no motor noise just a click not hung up on the stop screw gears are good need help can't afford to replace everything.
