Have you connected the Subwoofer out to the "Pre-out Subwoofer" on the left bottom corner jack(looking from the back)?

Have you set subwoofer out in the menu(under speaker settings or similar menu you will find all the channels that you have connected and here you should have "YES" for the subwoofer)?

I am looking for a replacement remote for my onkyo tx-nr509 my remote is a Rc801m can someone please help me

Any onkyo AV amp remotes can work well .
I use onkyo TX-SR600 remote to control RZ800.
It works so far so good. A remote for SR807
works well in SR333 also.

How can I hook up BIC F12 subwoofer to Onkyo TX-DS838 receiver? Will the receiver power the subwoofer and other speakers?

Get a RCA cable and connect from your amp where it said Sub Woofer in the Pre Out box in the back of the amplifier top left hand side and take it to the "Sub In" located in the back of your Sub woofer bottom right hand (White round connector).
Good Luck!

I want to run two active subwoofers on my Onkyo TX-SR600 can I just run a "Y" out of the subwoofer pre output?

You can connect only one sub at a time. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box and press "Enter".

Onkyo sr600 memory problem

I had the same problem with my TX-SR601 receiver.
Solution: I changed the capacitor C766 (100uF/6,3V) on the "DSP and main microprocessor" or "U1" board. This capacitor is responsible to keep the settings in the memory. It is directly next to the SRAM ICs (Q705-706) (type: CY7C1019BV/CV33-15VCT).
Now the receiver works properly again.

My receiver is not picking up the subwoofer, there is noise coming from the sub when I'm playing with the conection. The speakers are working and im getting prefect sound from them Please help.....

It would be helpful to know if this is a new problem on working equipment or a new problem on NEW equipment. And if you've flipped through the manual without success.

Of course you KNOW the sub must have its own amp, right?

First, you need to determine if the Onkyo or the unnamed sub is at fault.

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Onkyo-TX-SR608-Receivers-manual/id/23653ag916/t/2/

At the Onkyo, check to make sure you have run the speaker setup starting on Page 40. If that doesn't work...

Disconnect the subwoofer pre-out at the Onkyo and move it to the VCR Out, tune an FM station and be ready for some real loud subwoofer output if your sub has no volume control of its own. If you can hear the sub, it works and it's back to the Onkyo. If not, the unnamed sub

Im having trouble with connections from kef psw 1000 sub to onkyo tx sr506 amp. sub is making a bit of a humming noise but not getting any proper sound through. dont know what im doing wrong. can anyone...

Have you got the sub defined to the Onkyo correctly? Try conencting the sub's input to one of the Tape Out connectors and play some FM through it. That will prove if the sub is alive. The nwe can troubleshoot the correct failing device.

Can I play my ipod through my Onkyo TX-SR600 receiver?

All you have to do is get a 3.5mm plug to two RCA plugs lead and plug the 3.5 Jack in the headphone socket of your ipod and the two RCA's into an aux imput and away you go. If you get one of the small docks, that will stop the battery running down, but you don't need one.
By the look of the picture on FixYa it looks the RCA's can go in the front socket under the volume control.

Very low ouput from subwoofer preout

The problem was that some subwoofers (inluding my velodyne model) cannot process the LFE signals through the line level inputs on its amps, so the other way to run your subwoofer is to run the front left and right speaker outputs from your receiver to the speaker-level inputs on your sub, and then plug your front and left speakers into the soeaker level outputs on the sub. you have to set the onkyo receiver to "Subwoofer: No". that way the LFE signals are sent through the front speaker channels and you will get the same BASS output as if using the line-level input. O So yes it does require a bit more speaker cable, but it works fine now.

Onkyo 805 sub hook up problem

Talked to tech support at Onkyo and there seems to be two (2) places you can hook your sub up to. I placed mine in the wrong slot. So please double check where you placed the sub connection.
