Kenmore washer model 15862400 leaves clothes really wet, why

It spins, but the clothes are sopping wet when I take them out, I can twist water right out of them.

Possibly a blockage in 1 of the outlet pipes or pump causing water not to drain out properly.

SOURCE: washer won't agitate or spin

Check for a broken or worn motor coupling (behind the motor), it connects the motor to the transmission. If your even a little handy, you should be able to replace it on your own.
Let me know if you need any guidance.
Good luck!

Your transmission is starting to go bad. It is not creating enough power to spin the clothes fast enough to dry them. It is cheaper to look for a new washer . To fix the transmission will cost you over 400 I would do light loads until your able to get a new washer

Try this: remove the front lower acces panel(below the door going acroos the lower portion of the washer)
by removeing the attaching screws and pull off, then inside you will see a cylinder shaped unit with a cap with a twist handle on it,this is the filter pump, unscrew the cap to remove the trap and clean out completely, there will be some water in it when you open it so have a towel ready to sop up the water, reassemble everything and try a load of clothes, this will fix your problem. Good luck !

WASHER MAKES A HUMMING NOISE IN SPIN CYCLE BUT DOESN"T SPIN & CLOTHES ARE SOPPING WET.

what's the brand name and model number, all washers are different, most likely it's the motor humming or the pump is humming, could have something stuck in pump,if the water doesn't drain the washer won't spin,if you have a shop vac pull the drain hose out of stand pipe or sink, stick the shop vac hose onto the drain hose, get it down as low as you can and suck out the water and then see if it spins,if there's alot of water in the tub suck it out of the tub first then go to the drain hose,if it spins when water is out you know it's the pump but if you say water is still in tub i would have to say it is the pump,

How can i fix my washer myself?

The washer will not ever completely drain according to Maytag. A certain amount of water stays in the outter tub for balancing the machine for final hyper-spin. However if the machine is not spinning all of the water out and your clothes come out sopping wet....read the long thread I typed out to another person earlier.....it's about 2-3 questions up on the same topic
