Question about Krups Small Appliances Espresso Machine
Have got machine out to use over Xmas. Changed water filter, de-calced machine twice and still problems. When turned on to make coffee, the water runs out of machine, beans get ground, produces coffee grind disc, but machine not making coffee. It's like the water isn't getting to coffee, so all we're getting in water streaming everywhere. Please help?
Hose get clog. And lines get dirty fast on this machine. Cracked hose. Check filter in between

The hose connected to the heating element has unattached or is leaking.

The grind selector knob can be removed with the following steps: 1) Remove screw on side near grinder (do not let the screw fall into grinder, :-) ), 2) use sharp knife or similar to pry off cover with three dots. This should be easy. 3) Now you can rotate the grind selector and see that the white clear plastic does not rotate and the black does. There are two little pieces (one black, one clear plastic) on opposite side from grinder that slide over eavh other to keep this knob 'locked' into place. 4) again with a sharp pointed knife or similar you can separate these two pieces to 'unlock' them. This is made easier by lifting the side of the bean holder by the grinder gently and tipping it up. Be careful not to force anything too much. The black part should pop off. 5) Now you can lift off the clear bean holder.
After this good luck. We made it farther into the machine, but could never get to where we needed to go to fix our problem.
Krups must be congratulated for designing a machine that cannot be repaired and must be replaced with new purchases.

After I changed piston sealing I get the same error 09. It was caused by missing connection to the thermoblock temperature sensor. In my case both connectors for thermocouple were cracked. They are located directly on the body of thermoblock, below two fuses, covered by rubber housing. After I solder them again on the position error 09 disappeared. Unfortunately it is necessary to open at least front panel of the machine. Moreover I tink that there is also important to save polarity of those two cables.

You need to open the machine which is easy see my other post on leaking krups xp7240. The grinder can be taken out by removing two torix screws. Probably the electical brushes are gone. Take the grinder engine to a repair shop where they replace them.
