SOURCE: PROBLEMS PRINTING
Hi Anabel,
I've heard of this kinds of issue in cases where an adaptor cable (usb-serial, usb-parallel) causes this. But if this isnt you perhaps you can try reloading the printer's newest driver.

This was originally a Samsung printer, and they had plans to release a Linux driver. However after some corporate games it's now owned by Bixolon, and everything Linux has been axed.

I'm sure it is the converter cable that is casuing this issue. Definitely try to change the interface on the printer to the native communication type. So if you have a parallel printer and you dont have a parallel port, you'll want to change the interface on the printer to usb. Bixolon printers have this ability. it'll cost around 30-40 bucks probaably with shipping

You have to use the utility call SetIP that comes with the printer. Check the CDs. It is easy to use.
