Kenmore elite washer problem

LD stands for long drain.  probably either a clog in the pump or a bad water pump itself..

Thanks for using FixYa. Error Ld means long drain and it flashes when the water level will not change even after the drain pump is on. To resolve this issue you’ll need to check the drain hose and the drain pump for any blockages. Also check if the pump is running fine. LD error is for long drain. The pump filter in the pump assembly is probably clogged. Remove front lower panel, pump assembly is in the front with a cap that unscrews. Once cap is unscrewed you can slide out the filter and clean. Remove as much water as possible from basket before taking off pump cap or else water will come flooding out when filter is removed. Reinstall and run drain spin cycle. Should drain ok.

Is the drain hose kinked or clogged?
Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.
• "CA" or "Cl" (Current Limit)
Is the washer overloaded?
Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

you can use a shop wet vac on the drain hose to **** the rest of the water out then you can remove the hoses to check to see if anything is suct in hoses or pump-,mike

sounds as if you have a drain issue, most common cause of fault is theres something stuck in the pump housing. remove the lower acess panel(3 screws along the bottom of the forn of unit) youll gain acess to the pump housing, remove the large cover to the "button trap" by uncscrewimg the cover, it will be righthin front of you in the center of machine when cover removed, im sure youll find your blockage within there

mpratt, check to make sure there is no restriction in your pressure switch tube.it could also be kinked.

I HAVE A KENMORE ELITE WASHER AND IT STOPS IN THEN MIDDLE OF THE CYCLE AND DOESN'T RISNSE. THE DISPLAYS SHOWS F21. CAN YOU LET ME KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?

Hello, LD stands for long drain.
If all the water isn't out of the unit within a certain time, the ld will flash.
Could be 2 things.

1) There's lint stuck in the pump preventing the water to drain properly or

2) You're using too much soap causing lots of suds also preventing the pump from draining properly. If this is the case, what you need to do is run the washer on full load with no detergent and clothes. Let it go thru the cycle and get rid of eccess suds. This is most likely your problem.
