All of a sudden my laptop won't connect to the WIFI. I feel like I have tried everything. I can get online by using the cable only. I also noticed the WIFI light is not on even when it is clicked on.

SOURCE: My laptop won't turn on,

Hi,
Good day. You can try to do these steps which is usually a normal solution to this kind of issue:
1. Take out the battery of your laptop
2. Remove main supply, or power cord
3. Hold power button down for 30 secs,
4. Put only power supply in or power cord
Note: do not put battery in yet
5. Turn laptop on
6. Put the battery in.

If this will not work you might consider contacting toshiba tech support for laptop for other resolution. Hope this information will be helpful in resolving your issue. Thanks for using fixya and have a great day.

SOURCE: My toshiba laptop won't open

your screen is crapping out. most likely the wires connecting the screen to the video chip... but long story short, you will either have to repair the screen for a ton of money or simply buy a new computer.

Have a Vizio E601i-A3 tv. It is not detecting any wireless networks all of a sudden. Was connected and watching Netflix, then nothing. Have reset the modem and other things are connected, but tv...

Could be a corrupt Wi-Fi receiver module, before you rip it apart if it’s not under warranty.
Buy an external USB Wi-Fi adapter and insert it into the TV see if that resolves the issue.
Unless your an electronic geek or you have the electrical diagram you really won’t know what the WiFi unit looks like or if it’s even a detachable board. It maybe built into the entire circuit.

Can't connect my compaq to TalkTalk wifi

Hello,

Have you tried using a different gadget or computer that has the ability to connect to the internet wirelessly? If all connect without any problem, then you just need to update the device driver of your compaq. You can either update the drivers manually or you can do it automatically (recommended) so that you can get the correct drivers. You can use RadarSync to make it automated.

By the way, if all other gadgets and computers do not connect wirelessly then contact talk talk.

I hope this helps!

Wifi disabled on router

Sounds strange, unplug and plug it back in to see if you get lucky. If your sure there is nothing else preventing the wireless form being activated you might have to reset the router and hope that works. Good luck.

How do i connect to wireless on my hp 455. im trying to help my mom over the phone, everything is set up for her, she just cant get on the internet, im assuming she hasnt actually connected to the wifi,...

I've been in your exact shoes and feel your pain. The bottom line is connecting to a wifi network is a matter of choosing the SSID which represents your network name and then entering the correct network key. That's pretty much all there is to it. Since this is her first computer, I'm going to assume explaining this concept is not as easy as I have made it out to be.
This is less of a wifi issue and more of a new user issue, so here is my suggestion. Have her connect her MINI to the router with an ethernet cable (she will ask what that is. Just tell her it is the cable that came with the router). At this point, she will be online. THEN, download TeamViewer onto your computer and walk her through the same process. You may have to skim the instructions (you'll get it down in 5 minutes or less). This will allow you to take control of her computer from where you are and configure the wireless just like you would if you were sitting in front of her PC.
Let me know if this helps!

My pandigital ereader won't connect to wifi all of the sudden. I've tried everything. The manual said to reset, and now it's dead. Can't get it to turn on. Any suggestions?

I rare case, the wifi module can disconnect for it socket.
It's usually cause by mishandling the unit.
If it's under warranty then you should send it in for repair.
====== The DIY method is to power off the unit.
Place a large soft towel on a table.
Place the display face down.
Apply GENTLY pressure (side to side and top to bottom) on the back of the unit.
PLEASE apply pressure gently!!!!!!!!!
With some luck, you will press the wifi card back into its socket.

Have you tried an other USB cable??? have you tried a different USB port on the computer??? try the scanner on an other computer as well, does it have POWER???... eazy stepps to troubleshoot all types of devices is to first make sure the device has POWER, than concentrate on connectivity (cables, ports, etc...) than try it on an other computer, re-install drivers as well..., check for viruses also, when everything is clean and it still not working than replace the device... it's dead (send flowers) ha! just kidding!

Im trying to connect my wii to the internet at my new house and it won't it keeps saying unable to find access point. please confirm the ssid and try again?

I'll advise briefly, but suggest you find the router page address (something like 198.168.2.1). You can find this by looking in the manual for the router. You can also double click to open the router and then "open device webpage"

This will allow you to access the router settings and configure the wireless protocols and passwords / security. Without knowing which router you are using, I cannot give specific help.

You need to ensure that the wireless password that you set in the router is typed EXACTLY into the network connection on your PC / laptop
