My Gopro Hero 3 Silver with new Sandisk Ultra 64GB Micro SD Class 10 is not recognized by media for playback, I can only see files on computer as an external drive. If I change the Micro SD card to the 2GB the media such as TV & playstation recognise the 2GD, but not the 64GB. The only thing I can spot the difference is on the format, the 2GB is MS-DOS (FAT16) the 64GB is ExFAT. What is wrong?

SOURCE: memory card micro sd cannot format

Definitely your Micro SD Card has a problem. might be ita a virus problem.

Try to format it by your Computer not by your Phone. If you have a AntiVirus scan your Card and then try to format it.

if you are not successful in one chance Don't afraid at all, try it three or four times by removing and then inserting the Card again in the Computer........

SOURCE: vaio and micro sd

Hi,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

Since you have verified that the card works (in your phone) and that the adapter works (in another computer), then the issue could very well be with the Sony VAIO VGN-C140G/B. More specifically, the USB ports/drivers. Presumably that the Sandisk 2Gb Micro SD & the adapter were working before and that you are using Windows Vista, pls check your updates that has anything to do with USB. Alternately, you may want to rollback/downgrade the USB drivers and/or seek USB driver update from the Sony site rather from Microsoft.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for your continued patronage of FixYa.

thats a weird one, here is my best guess. The formatting of the card is not comparable with your computer. so if your men card is fat32 and you try to read on a mac computer for example. can you try it with another computer. Do you know if your card is ntsf formmat

64Gb micro sd card shows only 0.97Mb why?

Did you buy it off of eBay? There are a lot of fake name brand SD cards sold there. If you got too good of a price, it could be a fake. There are free programs available to analyze your card. Look for a program called how to check capacity of your card . If you did buy from eBay, file for a refund.

GoPro Corrupted file when trying to open

Your file didn't close properly when you fell. You probably won't be able to see it on the card. If there is a partial file, you can look for file recovery software such as Norton.

Trying to view video fromm gopro hero 2 on my sony vaio

remove the SD card insert into the SD slot in the computer Card Reader. Depends on the file format. What have you tried to view the video on? Take a look at page 53 of the user manual: https://gopro.zendesk.com/home IF you need a freeware Media Player I suggest VLC, it plays most formats and easy to use, at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_vlc_32/

My GoPro HD helmet Hero freezing while filming. It simply freezes up and the buttons don't work. I need to remove the battery to reset the camera and all my video is lost. I'm using a sandisk 32GB SD...

Unless the camera is actually in record mode, your previous video files should be complete on the SD card and should not be affected by removing the battery. The freezing COULD be a result of the SD card itself. Most live video recording devices which use media of this type work best with cards that are rated "Class 4" or higher. (Class refers to the read/write speed of the card; the higher the class, the faster it performs.) The class rating is usually shown inside a small circle printed on the card. A 32 GB card of Class 4 or higher is still pretty pricey, so if yours is only Class 2, the camera circuitry may be sending data to the card faster than it can handle it, thus locking it up. You might be better off with a smaller capacity card (16 or even 8 GB) that has a higher Class rating (4 or even 6). *Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. You need to push the POWER/MODE button once it is connected and the red charging light is on. It will then say "usb" and will show up on the desktop for you.

How to reset gopro hero3?

We've found the best way is to remove the SD card and the batteries for at least 30 seconds and then reinstall both and turn the camera on. Remember, that in addition to the data saved on the SD card, by plugging your camera into your PC with the USB cable you will be able to find any images or video stored on the camera's built in memory.

We've put together a tip sheet for the GoPro Hero 5 cameras but much of the information will help you get the most out of your Hero 3. It is important that you do not attempt to update a Hero 3 using the available GoPro firmware update as it is ONLY for wide angle Hero 5 cameras.
