Stiletto 100 does not recognize car dock or boombox

For some reason i can not control the unit via the car dock any longer. It does not shut off when I turn off the car either although it powers on when I turn the car on. It is receiving reception and power. I put it in my boombox and usually it would power on the box but now I have to physically turn the box on also it does not shut down when I turn the box off.

I reset and erased the unit using the menu options and it still has the same issue.

Same problem here. All of a sudden, the dock just stopped working. Comes back to life for a second or two here and there, but for no real reason. Unit reception cuts out more frequently as a result. Extremely frustrating...

    Maybe the battery needs replacing?

My Stiletto 2 works fine in the car and in the home dock, but it will not read my battery. I have changed batteries out with another Stiletto 2, and the batteries show 100% charged in the other Stiletto,...

You may want to try to run a device recovery. Sometimes when a battery is drained, the Stiletto only remembers the status of the last battery as it ran completely out. A device recovery would help it reinitialize and recognize a new battery. Instructions and links for device recovery can be found here: http://www.tss-radio.com/links

My stiletto does not get a signal. It comes in for up to 10 seconds at a time and then nothing, searching. I walked to the top of San Bruno Mountain overlooking San Francisco with no improvement in...

Does it get a solid signal when its in a docking station? Its likely that the internal antenna on the unit is disconnected. Antenna headphones would correct the issue, though they are not very durable at all. I know that our repair guy is able to fix the internal antenna, but I would ensure that is the issue first. Try plugging it into a home dock, car kit, or boombox to see if it works through one of those antennas.

I'm considering purchasing a Sirius Stiletto 2 Satellite Radio Receiver - just wondering if it can it be connected to my new Harmon Kardon 3600 avr or do I need to buy the Sirius connect SCH1 Home...

You will need to use the aux input from the top of the unit, or from the back of your home dock. If your receiver has a built in or add-on dock for the XM2GO line of radios, you will need to read here: http://www.digitalradiocentral.com/sirius-backstage/stiletto/108379-i-converted-xm2go-dock-stiletto.html

My Stilletto 10 doesn't reliably record programmed talk shows. I leave it on and plugged into my car kit (yes, it is powered by a plug that stays on when the car is off) and when I come back it is...

Is it set for auto shut down? It took me months to properly record with this thing, frustrating at best. Now it's almost flawless. Go in to menu then settings then dock. In that menu you will see "Auto Shutdown". If this is on, your receiver will shut off after 4 hours only when plugged into the car dock. When on a home dock it will stay on. Turn this off and it will stay on until you shut down. Auto shutdown is the default setting. If for some reason you receiver is reset, you will need to check this setting again, because it will turn auto shutdown on again. Hope this helps.

Stiletto 100 sound only comes out of 1 channel

The "one earphone only" problem is common to many Mp3 players. It is not fixable, and the entire player must be replaced. Attempting to replace the headphone jack and assicated circuit yourself can cause major damage to your player. I know you don't like this answer, but it is the only honest answer.
