Hi Andrew, the machine in question is,juki ddl 5550-6,with computer

That is a commercial machine, and a $600 one at that.

Here are parts
https://www.google.com/search?safe=off&rlz=1C1QJDB_enCA643CA644&sxsrf=ALeKk03T8UT0D3TkbE3OcO2Eb7u03u3Zyg%3A1609371805007&ei=nBDtX7vzPPGr5NoPv7SsuAE&q=juki+ddl+5550-6+foot+pedal

However, this is controlled by the arm and has adjustments. My guess is that it has been tampered with if it is in a factory type environment.

Manual and how to adjust.

Finally, it doesn't work posting followups as a new post as posts are not threaded so this post has no relevance to your earlier post. If you click COMMENT under my post, it keeps everything together and I get a notification that you need further help. :>)

My wife broke several needles on her Juki DDL 555 machine and I need to know how to adjust the timing as she put a new needle in and the point was damaged

First thing to check is if you've got the right needle system: http://partsbooks.sewingmachine.com/Instructions/Juki/Industrial/DDL-5550%20&%205530%20Instruction%20Manual.pdf and that the needle is correctly oriented... the scarf has to be precisely set.
The next things I'd check are the stitch cycle -- hand crank the machine through the normal stitch cycle and see what's hitting. Then fix that. I've got my suspicions this may be a needle bar height adjustment. Don't thread up for this test... misthreading can also cause the needle to hit something and break, so start with the fewest possible variables first.

Hello, I have a juki DDL 5550, runs great, But the tension is off. Top thread bunches up on bottom side of fabric ( bobbin thread looks ok)\r\nThanks,S

Soulds like your not geting the top thread all the way in the tension disk. Make sure you have the presser foot up when you thread the machine. also after you get it treaded check to make sure you have tension, with the presser foot up you should have not tension and with it down it should be very hard to pull.
hope this helps

Thread and bobben pattern for juki ddl 5550 machine keeps cutting bobben thread

Your bobbin case may be too tight. Try loosing it by turning the small screw a little turn to the left. If thats not it, you could also have a bend or snag in the bobbin case that is snapping the thread. If this is the case you will need to replace it.
