To access voicemail or when calling a company and they ask you to press 1 etc. The keypad does not emit the tone required.

Key pads are for buttons, not dial tone.
When a call is complete it should be silence.
If you want tone then press Intercom or a Line or an Access code.

No dialing tone?

It is a phone designed for use with PABX telephone systems in businesses, it is not suitable for use on a standard phone line.

We have a meridian M7310 telephone system, and have just bought some headsets. Unfortunately we wish to use both headset, handset or speaker phone. Is this possible? Because at the moment we can only...

First of all, make sure you're plugged into the headset port of the telephone and not the handset port. Pressing the Handsfree button should change from handset to headset. You can't use the speaker phone with the headset plugged in.

All 3 phone sets have no dial tone and arrows to each of the 8 lines are flashing. The caller ID window is blank - no info. The telephone line is working as I am receiving faxes - help?

This usually means the PBX unit is booting up.

Try power cycling the PBX unit. If that does not work, there is some hardware failure on the PBX.

My Meridian M7310 phone system is unable to receive or give out going calls on Line 3 only. In addition there is no dial tone on that line only. The other 4 lines are working great. I have already gone to...

Either the line from the telephone company is out or the line port in the line card is defective. The easiest way to determine if its one or the other is to report the line trouble to the telephone company. they'll check the line up to where it comes into the building, and if theres a problem on thier side they'll get it back in service. If the report the line is good to the building, then you'll need to call your telephone system service technician.

Cannot dial out on my Meridian 9516 telephone

Is the Program button on . If it is turn it off. You can also try resetting the phone by unplugging the silver line cord from the phone or the wall jack and then replugging it after about 10 seconds.

We had a thunderstorm and a transformer was struck by lightening. I have no dial tone. Do I need another AC Adaptor. The display screen is blank. My other telephone worked ok when I plugged it up....

What all you need can be decided upon after eliminating the faulty items one by one. First the AC adapter. Check with another device if the adapter is functional. Or if you have a multimeter. Next the phone, try another adapter. Where from? Read the specs printed on the adapter. It will tell you the Input and output voltages. Then it also tells you about the frequency. Then the wattage. If all of them match or come close you can use it. Trip to the store is warranted. Thunderstorms and lightenings generally do not leave anything intact. So, I hope your phone is intact. Adapter can be replaced easily.

MWI doesn't work on Polycom SE-225

The issue isn't exactly resolved. This appears to be due to an incompatibility of the Polycom Se-225 on our Meridian 1 phone system. But Converse handsets with MWI work fine. I have a partial solution by disabling the lamp (LPD on class-of-service), while leaving MWA setting. This allows the interrupted dial-tone when the user lifts the handset.

Norstar m7310 phone

Rushy: I assume you have a KSU which controls the entire system. The KSU is cabled to each line number provided by your local phone company. Once you have this line established it now makes contact with your phone set via dedicated cabling to each telephone set.. With all this hardware in place you can now program the line keys on each set for either one touch dialing or line access for your dial tone. Program guides can be aquired through GOOGLE by entering " Norstar m7310 program guide".Thank You. Jerry
