your speakers may be bad. also look at your service bar. mine does this sometimes if it's not getting good service at that time or i had to get a new phone cause when mine did this it was my speakers.
Check the settings on your phone also please go to the device on your phone and check that the answer call and audio out it at auto and when in range and connected
I had to go to each person that i have on my phone list and click on edit and than on default. I tested the phone from several people on my list my having them call me and the phone rang everytime instead of saying who it was. Now i can hear when someone calls me. The other way it was hard to hear and also it was a shuddering message of who was calling.
Remember the Motorola Q is more of a computer than a phone. Think of it like Windows Vista :(. I use the Q and love it. But I have run into this problem several times. There are a few things to try before taking your phone back. First, remove the battery and then put it back in. Second, replace the battery (power is everything). Third, try using Task Manager to kill any programs that you are no longer using. Do this on a regular basis. Fourth, refer to the manual for proper battery care. Fifth, try selecting the "Home Service/Wireless Manager" button on your home screen. Then choose phone to turn the service on. Then choose phone to turn the service back on. Resetting the service in this way is often helpful. Good luck.
Is the headset paired and connected to your phone? Is bluetooth turned on in your phone? Look for the bluetooth icon on top of your phone's screen. Let me know what model phone you have and I can help you troubleshoot.
