After 2 hours of game playing I suspect you need to come out of the game and reboot to regain system resources. Make sure any uneccessary programmes are not running in the background eg virus checkers, updaters etc, and I would certainly recommend at least 2gb ram.
Get a new keyboard preferably a USB version if you have a PS2 k/board.
Best of luck.
Please feel free to rate this suggestion if you feel it has helped. Thanks.
Make sure the drivers for each are downloaded. If you can plug a mouse and keyboard in, check Compaq for the drivers you need for the model you have. You may want to do a system restore to an earlier date.
you should go to your utilities --> audio midi setup and make sure your system is recognising your midi device. Play around with your midi settings, see if you can get something going.
Otherwise the problem maybe with the software clashing with Leopard. Double check on the manufactures website that their software is compatible with 10.5.6, or they may have an update for you.
Thirdly you could check if you keyboard is working correctly by opening garage band and making a new software instrument track, press record and see if you get any thing.
Good Luck hope this helps.
The beeping is indicating a keyboard error. If that combination worked before and the key combination in question worked earlier without an error? I would suggest reinstalling the game as possible file corruption may be at fault.
Can you please check the following:
1. Connect the Merc Stealth directly to the USB ports on the computer (do not use any intermediary devices such as USB router, KVM switch, etc..)
2. Unplug the devices connected to the USB ports on the back of the Stealth (if any) and connect to them to the PC instead.
3. Make sure USB and USB Legacy support is set to ON/Enabled in the system BIOS
4. Try to determine if there is any hardware or software conflicting with the Merc Stealth - what other irregular hardware or software do you use?
5. Check your RAM.
I tried number 3 and solved it.
If this is specific to this game only, then you may want to go through the game manual for instructions. If this is happening in other games as well, then it could be that your keyboard is defective and will need to get it replaced..
