Cant get mfc240to work

Brother posted a Network Connection Repair Tool in the support section of their website. You can look up your model and it is very easy to install. Follow their directions carefully!!! Worked great to get my MFC printer back online with my network.

It may or may not work, but try installing as Administrator and setting the program's EXE into "Compatability Mode for XP SP2",and also, running as Administrator. Windows 7 just doesn't want to support any hardware over like a year old... Drivers are a HUGE issue. Especially for older stuff. Compatability Mode is one way round it but not always.
Also try installing in SAFE MODE if all else fails, still set Comp mode & run as Admin tho.

halo!!! try to uninstol or remove the printer driver din install it again.how to do? ans: go to the start, and find the control panel din click the ad and remove program fin the printer driver and uninstal it

have you setup the wireless connection in between the printer and the laptop...
your laptop is working wirelessly with the internet but for making the printer to use it wirelessly the printer should be also a wireless printer.

and if the printer is a wireless printer then you have to setup the connection in between the printer & laptop to work wirelessly.

Yes its compatible with brother mfc-240c, so there shouldn't be any problem with the computer and that printer.....

Uninstall printer software, uncable printer from comp. Go to website for the brand of printer>drivers/downloads>download latest drivers and install>power off comp.> recable printer to comp>turn printer power on>power on comp. Follow wizard intructions.

Don't worrly Fixya will help you in findding the setup disc very easily... To download the drivers, Please click on the below link or copy the URL and paste it in your web browser.. And Select DRIVERS, and select the operating system you are using and download the drivers..

You have to connect the mfc directly to a USB port of your computer. DO NOT use a hub.

The mfc uses the XP buil-in scan driver.

Did you install the whole mfl-pro suite? Use paperport to do scanning from your pc.
