Question about Compaq Presario 1200 Notebook
I have a Compaq Presario 1200 laptop. It will not turn on when I push the power button. I bought a new battery thinking that was the problem. The battery charging light does not come on when the adaptor is plugged in. There is no heat on the bottom of the unit so I don't think the battery is charging. The adaptor lights come on when it is plugged in and the light on the laptop indicates it has electrical power. It worked fine the last time I used it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I had a similar issue with the Armada M700 from Compaq. Never did figure it out exactly. But I do know this. When you unplug the power chord and take out the battery and plug the power chord back in while the battery is out usually for some reason it turned on allowing me to replace the battery which would then begin charging. Your problem interests me because I can really relate!
