Lid is sealed shut and water is not being drawn from resovoir
So made a cup of coffee, only brewed about 1/2 as normal, then lid completely sealed shut... so i tried running the clean cycle, but still nothing, the water just stays in the back of the tank, and the machine makes a little noise, but not like it normally would if its working right...
do i just have to wait for the lid to unlock? its been almost 3 days. i just unplugged it so just gonna wait some more
Re: lid is sealed shut and water is not being drawn from...
It sounds like the pod holder is clogged, it has only one small hole to let out water. open up the machine in the sink as it will spray due to the water pressure. try the other pod holder first. if it works check the other one by holding it up to the light. if it is clogged clean the first one by using a pin to clear the hole.

If you are having problems with leaks while brewing, do the following:
Under the top lid there is a needle that punches the hole in the k-cup, this needle has an o-ring on it. Move the o-ring about 1/8 to 1/4 down towards the sharp point. This will allow the o-ring to seal against the k- cup.
I haven't solved the problem, but I continue to disassemble my K30. Most likely points of failure for the blue start light not coming on appear to be a sensor to detect the cup is in place (two small holes on the left/right front edge of the cup holder) or a sensor in the resovoir lid where the blue pin presses on a pressure switch. I did find that the red wire to this switch gets caught in the lid hinge and may be damaged. I will post more if I finally discover the root cause but may just go to Bed Bath & Beyond and buy the resovoir model with a 2 year warranty. Lesson learned. Cheap switches and mechanical devices.
mcdevito75 here, Your Mr. Coffee may need cleaning, here"s how, Fill the resovoir with white vinegar, cycle thru the machine 3 times, half way thru the 3rd time stop 1/2 way thru and turn off machine for 30 minutes, then recycle. After that rinse your Mr, Coffeee by cycleing thru fresh water each cycle takes another resovoir of fresh water to get rid of the vinegar. If this is not the problem, maybe the pump is shot. Contact Mr. Coffee by phone or online at Mr. Coffee.com or replace the machine.
This may be one of two issues:
1. The pump is malfunctioning which can cause the internal reservior to not completely fill which causes issues during brewing. My unit dribbled random amounts of water instead of brewing for about a week before the pump died completely.
2. The puncture seal isn't in the right position. Open the Keurig fully so you can see the sharp puncture pin. Very Carefully push the black rubber gasket around it all the way up. Then pull it back down about 1/16". Brew a cup, if the problem continues, try sliding the gasket further down by increments of 1/32".

1. With basket and stem removed, fill coffeemaker with COLD water to desired level using the cup markings on inside of coffeemaker as a guide. Do not make less than 12 or more than maximum capacity of the coffeemaker at one time. 2. Place stem into heating unit in bottom of coffeemaker, then put basket on stem. Spread the recommended amount of ground coffee evenly into the basket. See chart. Use regular electric perk grind coffee or coffee ground for all coffeemakers. Do not use drip or finely ground coffee as flooding of the basket can occur. 3. Turn cover in place on coffeemaker. To reduce coffee spills, especially if coffeemaker is tipped over, make sure cover has been turned clockwise until it is completely secured in the handle slots. (Note the arrows on the cover for correct turning.) The cover temporarily reduces coffee spilage if coffeemaker is tipped over, so care should be used when moving coffeemaker. 4. Place coffeemaker on a dry, level surface. Attach cord to coffeemaker and plug into a 120 volt AC electrical outlet ONLY. 5. Coffeemaker stops perking automatically. (Each cup of coffee requires about 1 minute brewing time) Serving light will glow when coffee is ready. Before serving, use a hot pad to remove cover, then carefully remove stem and basket from coffeemaker as coffee and grounds are HOT. If not removed, bitter oils from the coffee grounds will drip into coffee. Replace the cover making sure it is completely secured into the handle slots. 6. Coffee will remain at serving temperature as long as coffeemaker is connected to outlet. (if you have an insulated coffeemaker, the sealed-air insulation will keep coffee hot for up to two hours without electricity.) To serve, place cup and saucer under faucet and press down on handle. If a continuous flow is desired to fill a carafe, lift handle straight up until it locks into open position. When approximately one cup of coffee remains in coffeemaker, disconnect from outlet. TO MAKE MORE COFFEE: If another pot of coffee is desired right away, partially fill coffeemaker with cold water to reset the thermostat. Pour out water, refill with cold water and repeat steps 1-6. TO HEAT WATER FOR INSTANT BEVERAGES: Plain water may be heated in your coffeemaker for use with instant beverages. Simply fill the clean coffeemaker with cold water to the desired cup level, and then place the stem and empty coffee basket in place. Using the stem and empty basket will heat the water more uniformly. Secure cover in place and plug coffeemaker in. Heat water until perking stops and serving light comes on. Unplug coffeemaker when less than 1 cup remains. Other than making coffee or heating water, no other liquid should be heated in coffeemaker as damage to heating unit can occur. When coffeemaker is used to heat water only, the metal inside will discolor which is normal and does not affect performance or the water heated in the coffeemaker. Refer to Special Cleaning Instructions in this manual for removing discoloration as well as mineral deposits, which form inside the coffeemaker when heating water. If these deposits are not removed, pitting of the metal inside may occur and result in damage to coffeemaker. Refer to the cleaning your coffeemaker section
A couple of people on here mentioned he filtration system, or charcoal filter that is in the
water resovoir as being problematic. We removed it. This morning the pot brewed entirely.
Not sure how that all is inter-connected, but it worked.
Be sure the red rubber gasket is in place and clean (ridge side in) and bottom water cup is screwed firmly on to avoid leaking.
HOW TO USE:
1) Fill the bottom water cup with cold water up to the inside lip.
2) Set funnel into bottom water cup
3) Fill coffee basket with expresso grind coffee and level off. (Do not tamp or pack). Make sure it's filled to the top.
4) Place filter onto coffee basket and set coffee basket into funnel
5) Place brewer over bottom water cup and screw firmly into place.
6) Place unit with lid in the center of a microwave oven set on high for 1-1/2 minutes. If boil over occurs, reduce the brew time in 10-second increments until no boil over occurs.
7) Grasp handle to remove unit from microwave when finished brewing.
8) Remove lid and check the level of espresso in the brewer cup. Standard brew is at least 2 oz. If you don't have this level brew, replace lid and microwave on high another 10 seconds. Wait 20-30 seconds for bubbling to stop.
CLEANING/ADDITIONAL BREWING:
1. Under cold running water, unscrew the bottom water cup. CAUTION: It is normal for some water to be left in the bottom water cup. Both the coffee basket and any water in the bottom water cup will be extremely hot! If you prefer, allow the unit to cool for at least 3 minutes before unscrewing it.
2) To brew additional espresso, rinse Funnel, coffee basket and filter, then repeat brewing steps 1-8 above.
3) Parts are top rack dishwasher-safe -- hand washing filter is recommended.
