If its a even 4 inch border on each side the set is in the 4x3 format, look for a button on the remote (read owner manual) for aspect.

I don't exactly know your model. I can give you a generic type answer.

I can tell you that when you select to have the full screen, it may not work in the mode for the tuner. The reason is that the programs coming in from your tuner are actualy 4:3. When asking for a full screen you are asking for a 16:9 type format. This would stretch a 4:3 picture.

Have you tried contacting the manufacture, or if you know their local factory support place for your area?

SOURCE: how to make a flt screen in to full screen picture

On your remote there should be a ZOOM button that will strech the screen to full screen it may not be a desirable look but most formats today for HD tv is widescreen format also in your menu system you can change this as well. thanks for using fixya please click the accept button.

SOURCE: A simple question - My new 42" LG tv is fine -

You should be able to change the aspect ratio to fit the size of your screen. This will be the 16:9 4:3 16:10 settings.

You can access these by going to MENU---> PICTURE -----> Select ratio that works----> exit out and watch TV.

IF this will not fix it you need to look into the signals being fed to the TV as sometimes they can have a funny effect on the output picture. Some cable boxes will alter the picture and then it won't come out right on the TV. If it is all inputs doing this tho then changing just the Aspect ratio on the TV should solve the problem.

The score on football games on fox and cbs are halfway off the screen. How do I fix this?

Hello

It is likely that you have the "picture size" set to a mode that does not match what the channel is actually providing.

Go to the Menu options on your TV and then look for the Picture options. Change the size between the different options (typically 16:9, 4:3, Wide, Fit to Screen, etc.) and see which mode works best for the Fox and CBS broadcasts.

It is likely you have the TV set to Wide or Fit to Screen. Both change the settings to make 4:3 broadcasts fill the screen of a wide screen TV. Changing this to 16:9 should allow you to see the information on the sides and bottom of the screen again.

Shut off the tv, unplug it, hold the power button on the tv for 90 seconds. Plug it back in. Hit menu? Do you see a menu? (if not, your tv needs serviced)

My Insignia TV has a blue screen with parental cotrol the problem is I don't have a Control to pres display how can I unlock it???? HELP:(

Hello
When an Insignia TV is locked, it keeps you from watching all of your channels by only displaying a black screen. Insignia TVs are locked from a single button command on the remote control, so it is easy for you to lock the TV by accident. Since Insignia TVs can be locked so easily, it's important to know how to undo this command and unlock the TV yourself. So, unlock your Insignia TV with the push of a button and once again enjoy watching your favorite programs.
· Find the lock button on the Insignia remote control. The lock button is located on the third column from the left on the second row from the top of the remote.

·Stand within operating range of the Insignia TV, then aim the remote at the TV's receiver and press the "Lock" button on the remote control.
· Aim the remote at the TV and press the channel buttons to make sure the TV is unlocked. When the TV is locked, it shows a black screen and does not allow you to view anything else. If the screen remains black, press the "Lock" button again. If this doesn't work, change the batteries in the remote and start over at step

Just purchased a 32 inch insignia flat screen model # NS-32L430A11, How do I make the picture the full 32 inc instead of the small screen in a box?

Look for 'ASPECT', 'MODE', 'VIDEO', or 'DISPLAY' on the remote button to change the aspect ratio.
One thing to remember is that if the video was made for 4:3 old TV format, when you expand it to fill 16:9 screen, people will loof short and fat.

On my Insignia LCDTV26 I have almost 3" of black screen on the right and left side of the picture.

This is normal if you're watching a 4:3 (full screen) broadcast or movie on your widescreen (16:9) TV. You can adjust the screen aspect by going into the Settings Main Menu and selecting System, then Aspect Ratio. I hope this helps!
