2. Exit the Skype icon from the system tray(at the bottom right of the screen)
3. Ensure that "Show hidden files and folders" is switch is check & enabled (i). Start-> type "Run" & press Enter (ii). Type "control folders" & click OK (iii). Select the View tab & ensure the relevant entry is enabled
4. Locate the shared.xml file (i). Start-> type "Run" & Press Enter (ii). Type "%appdata%\skype" & click OK (iii). Delete the "shared.xml file" - (without quotes)
Restart Skype, a new shared.xml file will be created.
