Maytag Bravos Dryer (1 mo. old) timer does not change from start

Ex. I put in a load, put it on normal (40 minutes) and hit start. The dryer runs...I come back 40 or so min. later and it is still running and the dryer time still says 40 minutes and damp. I check the clothes and they are dry. This has happened several times to me. Another time, and after about 30 minutes it shows 37 minutes left on the timer.

Any ideas what is going on? I have the 7.0 Cu. Ft, see through front door model.

My dryer (2 months old) starts out at 44 minutes, then detects the wetness of the clothes and adds another 40 minutes or more. It usually dries for over 1 and 1/2 hours, and the clothes are dry for over 30 minutes of this time.

I have had 2 repair men out and they say it is working fine! I had a 30 year old dryer and bought this new one to save energy, but with the length of time it dries, there is no energy savings there.

I have the same problem with mine. It starts out working fine but on the 2nd and 3rd loads it just keeps going. I put it at normal (40 min.). I come back over 40 min later and it is saying 99 minutes and the lite drum light is on even though the clothes are perfectly dry.

Maytag Bravos 400 Series Dryer purchased August 2009 - November 2009 required repair as I also experience the timer readjusting itself to excessive extended drying time when clothing was bone dry and hot. Sometimes extended to 1 hour 40 minutes! Serviceman stated problem was the Sensors in the dryer. Part number 8577274 Thermister and "Old Ohmed out open" whatever that means as listed on my repair ticket. Have not had that particular problem since. Make sure your dryer vents from dryer to outside are clean and clear of lint. Will help immensely. I have many other issues with this dryer it has been down FOUR times in 9 months. Fighting with Maytag to replace this lemon!

Maytag Bravos Dryer quiet series f01 code

F-01 Means the main electronic control board is likely to have failed.

Unplug the dryer for 5 minutes and the plug the dryer back in. If the code reappears, replace the main electronic control board.

This is where I would start.

Have a maytag bravos dryer that is less than 1 year old and is running but not drying.

The Maytag Bravos is a good dryer and I am sorry you are experiencing trouble already with it. Since you are not drying, it is probably either the heating element or the thermostat. Both can be checked with a multimeter after disassembly. I would normally look up the parts for you, but I can't do that without the actual model number.

Dryer will not turn off aafter it's 40 minute cycle.it will start over with 1 hour 22 minute cycle

You should check your thermostats, they can cause this problem.
Look for the air tube that goes from the blower to the drum, this is where the thermostats are normally located and the heating coil is normally located there also.
Hope this helps
