Firstly, I'd suggest that you do a soft reset of your player. You will find the reset button next to the 'power on' button on the side of the player. Please hold the Reset button using a pen tip or other sharp object for 10 seconds. Now turn it on.

If that doesn't work, I'd suggest that you format your player or repair it using Philips songbird. Contents may be removed by using this function. So make sure to back up your contents.

Format:
On your computer desktop, double-click "My computer". Double-click on the MP3 player's icon. Right-click on the Internal Storage icon and then select "Format".

Repair:
Launch Songbird and then connect your player to your computer. Select "Repair" under the "Tools" menu. Follow the instructions given by the pop-up windows to perform the repair process.

Hope this works.

SOURCE: When i turn on the

You can repair your device via this link:

http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?tmplt=ePlatform%20-%20Philips&scy=US&slg=AEN&sct=FLASH_AUDIO_PLAYER_SU&cat=MP3_MEDIA_PLAYERS_CA&grp=SOUND_AND_VISION_GR&session=20110215050442_93.189.114.198&ctn=SA1VBE04K/17&mid=Link_DiagnosticInformationTool&hlt=Link_DiagnosticInformationTool

At first click on "Repair/Update" and "how do I repair.." and go on step by step. Finally you should get to "connect device in repair mode" and do all described there and I hope your device will come back to work again correctly.
Thanks. Good luck!

SOURCE: my philips gogear mp3 vibe sends the message "must

First of all have you loaded the gogear from the philips media converter and is the whole space filled up. In some cases there must be a space on the memory as the system may work very slow if the memory is full. Try and delete some files in this case. Also load only safe files that are scanned and has no malwares.
Hope you try this out.

No space to build database, please connect to pc and create 100mb of space

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this solution post. Thank you for choosing FixYa to assist you with your problem. From the description you have given above, you have no space to build a database of media player files and you want to know how to free up space by connecting to a PC? I think I can provide assistance to you for that. Your device is telling you what you need to do, which is free up space on your MP3 player by removing media files on your 8GB hard drive. 100 megabytes of files need to be removed in order to do this. By going into songbird and removing the files, the computer will remove the file from the MP3 player, but by default, will not delete the file itself; as the file will be on Philips Songbird on your PC's hard drive. To remove media files on your GoGear Ariza:

1. Use the USB cable that was supplied with your MP3 player to connect your device to your PC.

2. Open Philips Songbird on your PC.

3. Select a media file from your music, video or downloads library that you want to remove and right click it.

4. Click 'Remove' and confirm the command.

Repeat steps 3 & 4 as many times as you need to until you have deleted 100MB of media files. If songbird displays the file size, use that to help you decide which ones are taking up the most space, or as you are getting ready to remove a file, use the file sizes and add them together (mathematically). If you don't know, mb stands for megabyte, and a megabyte is 1,000,000 bytes. Once the total is 100,000,000 or more, you can stop removing files if you want. I hope this helps!

My gogear vibe says I need 100mbs of free space. How do I get that?

You will need to remove music until you can see that you have that amount of free space available.
