We recently got a 3570 copier and are having problems with the fax paper size. We have all of our addresses set up and we are only having problems with one number. All the other numbers print out on regular 8x11 paper except this number which prints onto 11x17. Is there a default we are not aware of?

just chech the paper size setting paper size in paper cassette maybe the size of paper is not the same position of paper you put inside the cassette tray
change the orientation of the paper supply and or size.. portrate or land scape.. check your printer settings in your display on the paper supply size and type
your printer CHANGE PAPER TO
A4/LTR/LGL PLAIN
The paper size setting is set to a size other than
A4, letter or legal in fax receive mode.
The paper type setting is set to a type other than
PLAIN in fax receive mode.
Set the paper size setting to A4, letter or
legal and load paper of the same size.
Set the paper type setting to PLAIN.
you must have the reduction mode on in the fax section. This allows incoming faxes that are larger than the size paper you have available to be printed. You may have you paper set in a direction or size paper that is not the same as the fax being sent.
If you see this message on the front panel of the HP PSC 2210 when you are receiving a fax, check that the paper size is set to match the paper size in the paper tray. (You cannot receive a fax on 4 x 6 paper or on an envelope.)
Checking the paper size setting
Press Setup .
Press the right arrow until you see 3: Basic Fax Setup .
Press Enter .
Press the right arrow until you see 4: Paper Size .
Press Enter .
Press the right arrow until you see the paper size that matches the size of the paper in the paper tray.
The problem is that you have a fax saved in memory that is the wrong size for the paper you have in the drawer. Probably it is a legal size, whereas you have letter size in the drawer.Just place some legal size paper in the by-pass tray to print.
Do you mean the "Out of paper" alarm? Check that all paper trays have paper. The by-pass tray should be prperly set to receiv "Legal" size paper and have that size paper in that tray.
DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL HELP-BUT MY PROBLEM WAS SIMILAR--MINE WAS SAYING PAPER TOO NARROW WHEN I WAS TRYING TO PRINT AND COPY. I JUST KEPT MOVING THE FRONT SLIDER AND THE LEFT HAND SIDE SLIDERS BACK AND FORTH AND TOOK THE PAPER IN AND OUT --TRIED AGAIN AFTER EACH TIME--IT EVENTUALLY FIGURED OUT I DID HAVE THE RIGHT SIZE PAPER--
ALSO TRY---MENU--THEN--COPY SET-UP--THEN PAPER SIZE--SEE IF PAPER SIZE IS SET RIGHT.
Open your top paper tray drawer and there should be a dial on the on the tray drawer (light blue). On there is different paper sizes. Turn it until you get "Ltr" and the paper is going up & down. This should fix the problem. We just had that same problem today and that's what the tech person told us. (Also, this dial only turns in one direction to the left). MMc
