I have a G851sci dishwasher. I finally found what the issue was when the End, Top Solo, and Start LEDs flash on and off randomly. It has to do with the wash cycle selector knob. This knob is connected to a 12-position rotary switch mounted on the circuit board inside the control panel. The problem is that the switch contacts are oxidized and are not making good contacts. So to fix this, you have to remove that circuit board from inside the control panel. I won't go into details on how to do that but once you have it out, you'll see the rotary switch made by Seuffer, a German electronics company that no longer exists as Seuffer. Luckily, this rotary switch can be taken apart without removing it from the board. There are four clips that must be bent out to remove the top part. Once you have this open, take a very fine 600 grit or higher sandpaper and remove the oxidation from all the metal contacts that are in there. Do the same for the wiper on the knob side that you pulled off. Once that's done, use a cotton swab with alcohol to remove dust and debris from the inside amd off the contacts. Now simply reassemble everything. This issue should now be gone. This issue is related to F03 fault code. The service manual, which you can find somewhere off the web, explains how to extract the fault codes from your machine. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have a miele g892sc

I had the same problem and I was able to fix it by trying to reset the machine. You push the on/off button for 5 seconds to reset and then disconnect the machine. I also check the drain for clogs. I found that the problem is with the water sensor on the drain. it is telling the controller that there is water in the drain so the impellers keep turning to flush the system. I pour CLR solution into the drain and let it sit for a few hour and then plug in the machine. It is working fine now.

SOURCE: Miele G880 dishwasher, stuck in "Top Solo" mode.

If the unit is really stuck in 'top solo' then the most likely culprit is the top solo solenoid valve located off to the side of the circulation pump. It's most likely jammed in the engaged position. You will have to uninstall the dishwasher, lay it on its left side and remove the bottom panel to access it.

SOURCE: the intake/drain lite is lit

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The first thing that should be checked is if its draining properly as it could be that the drain hose is clogged and needs to be cleaned. The drain pump also should not be clogged. Also the stopcock should be opened fully and the water inlet valve should be checked for any clogs. Also the metal filter, impeller cover and the air gap unit should be checked. After checking this you can reset the error as follows: turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on again. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

My miele dishwasher is not draining completely after i rum the "normal" cycle. what can i do to fix?

Hi,
It is probably a drain fault. Try checking the drain spigot at the sink end where the drain hose connects as these are usually the cause of most dishwasher faults.Or else try checking the airgap at the top of your sink, if nothing there then check the end of the drain line usually connected to the garbage disposal if you have one. I would reccomend disconnecting the end of the drain line and putting it into a bucket. Let the dishwasher run for 30 seconds and if it drains then its a problem with your garbage disposal. If not contact Miele technical support nearby to troubleshoot the fault code

Miele Dishwasher does not start

hi,

F51 fault is more than likely the heater relay is faulty but it could be your circulation pump is jammed up. if you are confident you can easily replace the replace the relay if it is faulty. you would need to put a meter across the terminals. if it is ok then the pump is blocked. if you are not confident you would require a service call. Miele have there own deadicated service team if you live in a metro area

hope this helps.

Miele Dishwasher G892SCU Plus Intake/Drain light keep flashing

Hello RD,
Every Miele dishwasher is designed to drain water in the first 30 seconds of any cycle. Does your intake/drain light come on at all? Miele technical services can troubleshoot the fault code if you do get an intake/drain light.
The most common issue I have seen is that the dishwasher drain line is clogged.

Intake/drain light is flashing

When this happens with my dishwasher it usually means that the drain is clogged with food/debris.  To fix 1) remove bottom dish rack from machine 2) using a small cup, scoop out as much water as possible 3) remove inlet drain cover and unsnap the plastic insert and remove 4) rinse the plastic part and reinstall 5) start machine 6) if light still flashes, repeat steps 3 4 and 5 and restart
