Check your fuses. If they are ok check your themo sensor. If you disconnect the plug on the thermo sensor ,with ignition switched on, the fan should start.

Your engine overheats with the A/C on.
Can be caused by low engine coolant or bad cooling fan(s) the cooling fans are usually fused separately in the underhood fuse block. A bad water pump can do this but the engine would overheat all the time if it was. So my best hunch is the cooling fan. I hope this helps. Take care.
Is the cooling fan coming on? If not, check the fuse, fan thermostat and fan itself. Make sure the radiator is not clogged or blocked (either inside, or outside). I all that checks out, check the engine thermostat. I hope this helps you.
Hi,
The problem would be the radiator cooling fan.
Check first the relay, interchange that relay from similar one in the fuse box in the engine compartment.
Check the radiator fan motor, pull down the fan motor and directly connect it to the battery.
Check the cooling fan thermo switch, it is located underneath/side of the radiator assembly. To check it, just get a paper clip and short the socket connector, fan should run if not the relay has a problem or the fan motor is already malfunctioning.
The cooling fan motor may be bad. When you turn the air conditioner on the fans should automatically come on. This will tell you if the moter is good. Check the relay for the cooling fan motor as well. I hope this helped and good luck.
will try to help. the fan you replaced, was it the air conditioner fan? if so. then you need to check your primary fan. the one that does come on when the engine reaches operating temperature. make sure by starting engine, let the motor run and the temperature guage reaches the normal operating temperature.if the main engine cooling fan does'nt come on, then you'll need to check the fuse box under the hood. relays are black square plug in's they are marked and will[fan relays] tick when you turn the key on] if main engine fan does not come on when engine overheats, #1 fuse blown #2 relay bad #3 main cooling engine fan bad. note; the air conditioning fan will come on with engine running, when air conditioniing is turned on. when the a/c is turned off, the a/c fan will not be turning. hope this helps and as always, thank you for choosing fixya.com
If it overheats when stopped it may be a cooling fan issue,if it overheats on the highway it is not a cooling fan issue,as air flow is coming through the rad at highway speed.Don't bother with soldering 2 ends of a connector, just solder the wires together without the connector. Also, you do not have to have the relay for the cooling fan kept in the fuse box,it can live externally with soldered or wired connections.
Other option, just set the cooling fan to run whenever the key is on.
this is because the radiator may have chocks in it. so the rate of cooling might be reduced. so the cooling while normal running wil be ok but when you go in highways the engine generates more heat which in unable to cool by the engine.
try checking the cooling fan.this might have reduced the speed of running due to agening. so try replacing with high watt fan so that good cooling may takes place.

The cooling fan circuit is composed of basically 3 components. The fan, fan relay, and a cooling fan switch. If you are sure the relay and fan are ok, it is probably the switch. It is located on the top of the engine block very near the upper radiator hose connector, close to the thermostat housing. A car parts store can tell you where it is located. NOTE: There is more than 1. If you have a temp. guage, there is a sender that operates the guage. Also, there is 1 that sends information to the computer. So, make sure you ask for the cooling fan switch when you talk to the parts store people.
try to replace the hoses, they may be collapsing, then replace the thermostat, and give it a radiator flush to clear any possible clogs in the lines, last thing i would say is to replace the fan
