Unlocking parental locking on archos 605

Hi Jenkins, If you've locked your phone through entering an incorrect pin number 3 times then you need a Puk code, Ring your service provider and they will give you the FREE Puk code.....
If you lock your phone again some time in the future and you're still with the same service provider you can use that same Puk code.. BUT if you've forgotten your pattern code The link below is a youtube video of a guy shows 3 way but the 3rd way is a factory reset meaning you loose every thing in your phone

This will not erase any data but it will reset some of the settings.

If this doesn't work, you can go to "Repair and Formatting Tools".

If that doesn't work, you may need to perform a "System Recovery". This WILL ERASE all data and make the device the way it was from the factory.

Archos.com FAQ says I forgot what the 'Parental Code' is. Where can I get it?The factory default code is "0000".
If you have changed it and forgotten it, then you'll have to contact our Technical Support and give your 'Product key' (number of the device).
The 'Product key' is found under MENU > Settings > Software and Plug-ins.

Try 0000 it is the default or try a hard reboot by holding in the powerbutton for >15 sec. (I think).

When it asks you for the code, try '0000', it worked for me

Standard the code is 0000.
If you don't have created one.
The reason why this shows up has to be in Settings -> parental control.
If the mode is adult, you can see everything, in child mode some files can be blocked if you want.
You just need to switch back to adult, code 0000
If the code is wrong, it was set before, then you need to contact support to get you a new one or unlock this code.

The default code is 0000

worked for my 605 wifi

i have xp professional it was working 2 days ago i downloaded tons of stuff now i the same computer can'T see it but not just my computer i tried on 3 different computers it sas usb is connected (buttons disabled) but computers doesn'T see it.. but it keeps on chrging itself !

Disconnect power to the TV. The power interruption will allow you to reset the parental control password to the default password of 0000.

To change the password after disconnecting the power, do the following:

1. Press the Menu button on the remote.
2. Arrow up / down to SET LOCK CODE
The lock icom will appear
3. Arrow left / right to operate
4. Press 0 to access the lock code
5. The first digit will be highlighted.
Arrow left / right to select the number
Arrow up / down to move to the next digit
4. Continue to follow these directions for all 4 code numbers.
5. Arrow up / down to FINISH
6. Arrow left / right to save settings and exit.

The password has now been reset.
