You should first check if there is any visible damage on your lamp. If not then it could be a faulty Ballast ( lamp powersupply )

reset the settings to factory default and change your cable. if that doesn't help, the polarizer filter on the blue lcd panel is fried due to excessive dust and heat. the optical engine will need to be replaced.

Its because for the foot there is switch who give signal to micro processor or system control.Fix it that.Your problem will solve.

How to removed Lamp/cover error of Sony VPL-EX5 projector?

Take the lamp cover back off. Check the mechanism that the projector uses to sense the door. It might be a small pressure switch. Check whatever triggers the mechanisms is still attached to the door and hasn't broken off.

Remove the lamp and reseat it carefully, following the instructions in the user manual.
