My whatsapp got outdated and started displaying this message "version too old download latest." When i do download i try to install and it says "file corrupted" and i've tried deleting the old whatsapp version and it says "removing failed."
I have got same problem............ i solved it....... take out ur memory card ...... just dial*#7370#.... phone will be formatted...
again if u download ur whatsapp appliaction you can can use it for freee
i just did this and it was factory reset and all my data have been deleted and yet i can't download it what should i do next

For S60 symbian operated nokia mobiles: The whatsapp messenger is free for 1 year and its the trail period.And after the trail period i.e., 1 year you have to purchase it for $0.99 USD/year.So,if you've used it for 1 year then the trial period is over and you gotta purchase it.
For S40: I think your phone C3 is S40 and whatsapp for your mobile is not currently supported by the company and also the carriers Airtel, Idea, Vodafone, Tata Docomo and possibly others in India are currently unsupported.So wait for some time until the support is extended by the company

It seems that the phone's firmware has got corrupted. Now, instead of using the firmware to do things, use the computer to do it (temporarily, till you get the firmware reinstalled). How? Connect the phone to the PC via the USB cable and fir up Nokia PC Suite. Use PC Suite to do the needful. If that too fails then connect the phone to PC as a Mass Storage device and from MY Computer access the phone's drive and delete the files or whatever you want to do, like. select, copy or cut and paste etc.
