Can't get my iPhone to Pair with new Jensen SMPS-650

Just bought a SMPS-650 from Amazon, with the idea that I could play musing and do speakerphone calls with my new iPhone 5. I charged the SMPS-650 overnight initially. Then I power it on, and then hold the bluetooth button for 7 seconds, and then my bluetooth button is flashing. Then I turn on Bluetooth in my iPhone, and it cannot see the SMPS-650 when discovering devices. My phone pairs easily with my car though. I tried with my iPad 2, and that device also never could discover the SMPS-650.

I agree. The speaker will pair with most everything I own except the iphone 5.

I bought a used HRM1G on Amazon. Can I pair it with my iPhone by bluetooth, using the Garmin connect app? It came without a manual.

Yes, it is possible to pair your HRM1G heart rate monitor with your iPhone using Bluetooth and the Garmin Connect app. Here's how you can do it:
  1. Make sure your HRM1G is turned on and within range of your iPhone.
  2. Open the Garmin Connect app on your iPhone.
  3. Tap the menu icon in the top left corner of the app, then tap "Devices."
  4. Tap "Add Device" and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your HRM1G with your iPhone.
  5. Once the HRM1G is paired with your iPhone, it should appear in the list of devices in the Garmin Connect app.
  6. To use the HRM1G with the Garmin Connect app, simply tap the "Start" button in the app to begin tracking your heart rate. The app should display your heart rate in real-time as you exercise.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions or if you need further assistance.

Bluetooth connected to x5 but can't play music

You'll have to confirm this with BMW as we have a 650, 135, and X3 not an X5, but your car won't play iphone based music via bluetooth. It will sync contacts, make calls and some other things (particularly with the newer apps) but it won't play your music.

To play your music you have to have the package that allows you to connect your iphone via an iphone cable (usb at one end, iphone connector at the other - what you use to charge it). With this connected you can then see all your music and control your iphone through the screen on the dashoard.

I have a Jensen uv10 I'm trying to connect my iPhone yet nothing I happening. I've followed the manual and it doesn't work.

Do you have the blue tooth module? You need what they call a btm10 or even a btm15. They're sold seperately and can be found on amazon or jensen.com $40 to $80.. Hope this helps you.

Jensen vm9412 and ipod classic

The newer generation iPods don't always work with the iPod connection kits in a lot of the car stereos. Some of the problem is due to the fact that the new generation iPods have been changed and the stereos were manufactured before the players were released so they are not compatible.
I bought my girlfriend a Pioneer car stereo with an iPod control cable, and it works fine with her Nano (not the new generation Nano) and it works with my iPod Photo 60 GB but it does not work with my iPhone 2G and I read that it is not compatible with the new Nanos or the Classics. Check with Jensen to see if the model you have is compatible with the Classic and see if there is a solution to the issue. It may not be compatible with the new video portion of the Classic firmware.

Cheers
