My canon 350d keeps coming up with error 05 everytime I try and take a picture

Error 05 keeps coming up every time I take a picture. I've tried turning on and off, changing settings, take the battery/smart card out and back in.

SOURCE: Canon Camera - Memory Card error & Card locked error

Try reading the card independent of a camera i.e. on a computer or a photo kiosk to determine if the card is readable damaged

SOURCE: Canon 350d not turning on/screen not working/

Does the camera work properly with the CF card removed? If it does than the CF card is the problem. Try formatting the card with the camera or getting a new one.

SOURCE: Canon Digital Rebel XT: error 05

I had the sticking and two-clicks problem also. I manually pulled the flash up, then took a Q-tip dipped in standard rubbing alcohol and ran it over all the sliding mechanism parts of the flash. Then I rubbed the dry end of the Q-tip over it all agan and it now works fine.

SOURCE: Canon Power Shot A400 will only work with original Canon SD card

Make sure you are using an SD card and not an SDHC card. The SDHC protocol is newer than your camera, and your camera does not support it. SD cards have capacities up to 2 GB. Your camera should work properly with any SD or MMC card.

SOURCE: Camera reading memory card error, cannot get it to work. Tried removeing the card and replacing batteries. Checked and it is not locked.

try formatting the card once on a pc and then plug it in your camera....if that does not help either, you'll have to try a different card.

I am recieving a error 1 message on my Canon RebelXT/Eos

ERR 01 is a lens communication error. Try cleaning the contacts on the lens and in the mirror box.

ERR 05 is a flash error. It is usually caused because the flash failed to pop up. This can be casued by something as simple as the flash hitting the brim of a 'gimme' cap or impact to the flash or most likely spillage of sticky liquid around the flash and its pivots.

The XT also is notorious for having the bottom right screw of the rear circuit board come loose and short out some function of the camera, or even blow the main fuse or damage the circuit boards.

Canon eos 350d error 05, keep switchin on and off to correct but keeps reoccuring

is it also trying to release the flash when this happens? If so try and manoeuvre the flash a little by hand as it try's to open. once it opens its usually fine thereafter.

When taking a picture is clicks a couple of times does not take a picture and says error 05

Check if something is blocking the in-built flash to pop up or if it is stuck. If the flash is stuck press the flash pop-up button and try pulling it up simultaneously.

Canon EOS Rebel Error message E05

Go the the Canon support website and enter your camera model. If there is something you can do, it's there.
The E05 error says the lens is jammed or not working correctly. My guess is you need to take it to Canon.
This happens if sand gets in the lens or the camera is dropped.
