1. Be sure the speaker switch is selected on the reciever (system 1 or 2). 2. Be sure none of the tape moniter switches are enabled. Select FM mode first and select a station at will light the stereo light to be sure you have something tuned in.

Loss of sound garmin forerunner 305 gps

This is a pretty common problem due to a design flaw in the 305 (although Garmin disagrees). There are open holes on the back of the watch for the speaker which allow sweat to corrode the speaker or material such as sunscreen to block the sound. You can attempt to clear these holes if they're blocked, but it's unlikely to help.
If your watch is still under warranty, call Garmin. As soon as you tell them about the loss of sound, they will arrange for you to exchange your watch for a refurbished one. When you receive your refurb, place tape over the holes to keep the gunk out (doesn't really impact the sound level).

No sound from my new (refurb) onkyo receiver

First of all, be sure the volume is down fairly low so that you don't blow the speakers or the unit itself if and when the sound suddenly comes back. I've repaired many units whose owners turned them way way up to try to hear something, then flipped off a tape monitor or mute switch and got blasted. No sound with any input? (tuner, CD, etc.) Do you hear ANY noise or hiss from the speakers at all? I hate to ask, but are the speakers and inputs connected properly? On this model, the jacks are not set up beside each other as they usually are. Instead, the left channel speaker and input jacks are above the right channel jacks. This can be confusing! Are the speakers actually selected? The proper speaker select switch (below the power switch) must be in the down position. Is it possible that someone left a headphone adapter plug in the headphone jack? You know, the kind that allows you to use headphones with a 1/8" plug in that 1/4" jack? This will cause the speakers to be shut off. If you don't have the owner's manual, it's at http://www.intl.onkyo.com/downloads/manuals/pdf/tx-sr500_manual_e.pdf If none of this helps, the unit may have a problem and I would invite you to write back with more details on what you've tried, etc.

Hello I bought a hp dv7 4069wm refurb, I used to work retail and often the problem people had with the refurbs were software problems they couldn't figure, still I took a gamble. The pc booted up and went...

This sounds like your SATA drive is loosing connection with motherboard connector to the hard drive... seeing that this is a refurb system... maybe the hard drive is not secured to the chassis and causing the errors you are receiving.

I cant get my B&W speakers to work. I installed new firmware, plugged and unplugged, waited 5 secs here an there, NOTHING! Very frustrated, was a Christmas gift, he said the speakers sound awesome....

ask supplier for replacement. if not you can send it back for repair. if you paid around £400, then it is a normal one, if it was half that price it was a refurb/second quality. either way you can get it resolved.

I get an error message that printerhead is bad and it is new.

A common problem with newly installed printheads, (especially if refurbed), is small particles of dust in the printhead nozzel. If you can, take the head out and examine it carefully under excellent lighting to determine if there might be some blockage.

A refurb? Man...that's hard, maybe that's why it was sent in to begin with, try a new battery, and reset it back to default...good luck.

I'm thinking of buying a Vizio VIZIO VX32LHDTV10A as it sounds like such a good deal. However I'm disturbed by the number of refurbs available, sounds like there is a real problem with this model. I'm...

As long as you have the same warranty for the refurb that you can get for a new one, the refurb is fine. Many of these are refurbs just because the customer changed their mind. By law, anything brought back and resold must be sold as a refurb, not new. These refurbs also include ones that had cosmetic problems as well suich as damaged cabinets that had no effect on the electronics.

Logitech MX700 optical mouse

-Refurbs usually come barebone, on any refurb product, definately read the terms and agreements of the warranty... No way in $*%# would I take a refurb without SOME sort of defective warranty.

-Try another computer -If it don't work on yours, try it on another one. Ensure its not lose, so wiggle it a little, and if it lights up to charge for a second, there's something interfering with the connection from the mouse to the dock. If all else fails, call the seller, cus it is, a refurb.

-Manuals are downloadable from the manufacturers website. Its a common trend that the manuals are links somewhere around the driver webpage, but a big company like logitech, shouldnt be hard to navigate.
