S-video out to tv nvidia 9300 gforce won't work

I have an ASUS laptop with NVidia Gforce 9300 graphics card. I am trying to connect S-Video cable to my TV (Apex flat screen) I have managed to configure the nvidia for dual display but it isn't showing up on the tv screen. My tv has video 1, 2 and 3 and with cable connected the video 3 on tv screen changes to S-VHS3 so I know the cable is recognized by the tv, but still no image please help thanks

Obvious things first. have you tried the other input plugs on the TV? do you get the same problem with plugs 1 and 2?
you can try only having the TV connected to the Graphics card and turning on the PC see if it comes up as the primary display automatically.
have you tried configuring the Nvidia setting so ONLY the tv is a display instead of dual monitor?
doing these will rule out faulty cable or faulty S-video plug or Faulty TV input plug.

The only time that this can happen is if the driver is not installed correctly, as on install you are normally asked if you want to activate support for dual monitors, so if you havent already, uninstall the card driver, restart and install driver again from the cd or from the NVIDIA website. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.71.html If you have already tried this my apologies.

SOURCE: nvidia geforce 7300 GS tv-out

well...the 7300 GS is not quite a powerfull board.
frst it may be a problem if the card really support the tv out..
However,if it is just a driver/codec problem,I suggest you to reinstal the windows.the drivers and codecs which you repetedly used can harm your windows registers.
after all this,if the problem persists, you can try instaling and older version of Nvidia driver..many times this old drivers work better..
bye

SOURCE: Nvidia GeForce 7200 GS PCIE - Multi-Display does not work

This card does not allow you to Multi-Display with the VGA port and the S-video port. If you put a DVI to VGA port adaptor (not supplied) on the DVI port, you can Mulit-Display two VGA monitors and (presumably) a VGA (from the DVI port) and S-video monitor.

This is not explained anywhere and the card does not come with a DVI to VGA port adaptor, so I wa only able to work this out after I bought the DVI to VGA port adaptor.

You could try selecting properties on the shortcut and checking the run maximized box. Or you could try to find the .txt file with the game settings in it and manually insert a resolution. However, since I do not have the game, I cannot tell you were to find that. I hope this helps, Yannick.
