They're probably in the wrong format - make sure they're in a format yoru MP3 player accepts.

How to download songs to the psp

PSP uses mp3 file format.
***FREE SOFTWARE
You need this software http://www.nch.com.au/switch/
Download and install it. Then open it and click "Add Files" choose the song from your cmoputer thay you want to put in your psps.
Select the ouput folder(where your converted song should go). Just change it to your desktop.
Select the Out Put format to mp3
Press the convert button
When it has finished converting the files, Connect your psp to your computer

***YOUR PSP DRIVE LETTER
On your computer, Go to Start---->My Computer then look for your psp. The C: and D: drives are usually for your cmoputer Harddrive and your CDROM. So none of them is your psp unless you dont have a CDRom then D: is your PSP. If you have CD ROM on your pc, then G: or E: will be your PSP Drive. Open it.

**COPYING CONVERTED SONG
Copy the converted song(.mp3) from your desktop to the folder called MUSIC on your psp .
If the folder "MUSIC" does not exist, create it then copy your converted song there.

NOTE** The easiest way to find your psp Drive Letter is to first open "My Computer" then
plug the PSP in and you'll notice that a new DRIVE LETTER has appeared. That Drive is your psp.

You need a USB cable that is made for the ipod. It can be purchased on e-bay. Thay plugs into the bottom of the ipod, and into a 2.0 usb port on your computer. Afere it is connecter, you computer and i-Tunes will take over for you, just follow the instructions. If you dont have itunes installed, go to www.apple/support.com and download

It says formatting my mp3 will erase music on it but i want to get the songs off of my mp3 and put them on my computer is it possible? Will the music then be on the computer and just erased off of the mp3?

Yes, formatting your MP3 Player will erase everything on it other then the required system files.

If the MP3 Player is USB Compatible, plug the USB into the MP3 Player usb port, then plug the other end of the USB into your computer (provided your computer has a usb port). Depending on if the MP3 player needs software to put music on it, it should be easy.
Allow the MP3 Player 1 minute to fully load onto your computer.

Goto:

1) My Computer
2) Find your MP3 Player, should be something like F: Drive or MP3 Player (depends on the kind).
3) Double click on the icon of your mp3 player.
4) If there is music or anything in there, create a folder on your desktop or where ever you wish to move the music.
5) Highlight every song or anything, and right click drag it into the folder you have just made.
6) Make sure no songs are on the mp3 player.
7) Unplug it, check for songs, and if successful, you should have all your songs off your MP3 player and onto your computer! Double check, then you can format it or do what ever you wish!

Hope I helped :-)

Technical assistance

Well the songs you are trying to put on your mp3 player are probably too big. You can change your settings in Windows Media Player or (whatever program you use to sync the songs) to convert the songs to mp3 format and change the quality. I suggest changing it to 128 or lower quality. Hopes this helps you out.
