Our 2-year old Frigidair dryer, Model # GLER341A was working fine-I removed the dry clothes, put in the next load, turned it on and it sounded like a load of chains was in it.. When I opened the door lights were flashing behind the drum as it turned. I removed all but 4 items, tried again - same thing. What has happened??

Take too long time to get cloth dried

how much are you putting in ? Is it a 220 volt dryer? May have a dead line (electris) to heating coils, or thermaostat is not functioning and letting the dryer coils get to operating temperature. Your heat setting control may be faulty. I wouls look at heat control first.

Wash machine sometimes gets stuck on rinse cycle & dryer not dry

Sounds like the drain hose for the washer is too far down in the stand pipe at the wall causing a siphon effect, try raising drain hose a little. The dryer sounds like the vent line from back of dryer too wall is pinched causing an air flow obstruction. Hope this helps.

Dryer belt broke on my dryer.

I use a putty knife to press against the spring clips to pop the top. Then I use a quarter inch nutdriver to remove the screws holding the front panel on. I remove the wires from the door switch and lift out the front panel. I remove the drum and put the dryer on a work bench or a tailgate. I inspect the blower wheel(most of the time they get loose). I get the ball of lint out of the front panel filter housing. I vacuum out the dryer with my shopvac. I oil the rollers and idler and inspect the drum slides for wear. I loop a new belt rib side down to the drum and set it back in the dryer. With my left hand I drop the belt under the motor pulley and raise up the idler looping the belt on it and let the tension hold the idler. I manually slowly turn the drum to make sure the belt is secure and not twisted. I place the front back on. Snap the top down and give her a try. Piece of cake.

Frigidaire Dryer takes too long to dry.

First thing I would do is to take the drum out of the dryer and make sure the back is not all clogged up with lint. That is a very common problem with Frigdaire dryers. The back is where the dryer draws the heat from and it sounds like you have plenty of heat. The only place the heat will go is up and that may be why you are geting burn marks. I wold also clean out the front where the lit filter is that to gets blocked up. I think if you check all that ad clean it out good the dryer should work just fine.
