Driver download

Here is LG's support page for your product. Register the drive, once you've registered the product you can request free support in resolving your issue with LG. There doesn't seem to be a driver available for the product which leads me to believe you don't need any additional software to make it work!

Where can i get a driver for cd roms or dvd burners without buying it

Hi,
These devices are Plug-and-Play devices. No need for drivers. Just simply connect it to the internal power supply, the PCI connector or SATA connector, the device should automatically be detected. If not then it calls for a new CD/DVD-ROM drive.
Thank you for choosing FixYa!

Looking for the programme LG ODD online F/W update to install, been told to go to LGservice.com but cant see it.any ideas?

rauks,
click start
right click on computer
click properties
open the device manager
click on dvd/cd, this will expand the selection
click on the LG GH33NS70
uninstall
exit out and reboot
on reboot Windows will see the drive and automatically install with the newest drivers available.

If you want to try the update driver inside the device manager you can, I have never had any luck with updating the drivers this way and always ended up using the first method I described.
Hope this helps

LG GH22NS70 Super multi DVD Rewriter just used

Power cable attached, interface cable attached, (Dta cable), and the small audio cable attached, plus computer on, and Windows loaded.

Windows XP:
1) Click on Start

2) Right-click on My Computer

3) Left-click on Properties at the bottom of the list

4) Left-click on the Hardware tab

5) Left-click on Device Manager

6) When Device Manager loads, left-click on the + sign to the left of - DVD/CD-ROM drives

7) Right-click on the name of the optical drive.

8) Left-click on Uninstall

A Microsoft 'squawk box' will come up,
"Warning you are about to uninstall this device"
It's okay. Click on OK.

Close all windows, go back to your desktop screen.
Turn the computer off normally. (Start > Turn Off Computer > Turn Off)

Wait 1 minute. Turn the computer back on.
You should get a pop-up out of the system tray, "Found new hardware", and perhaps another one will follow, "Found XXXX DVD drive"

No? Doesn't work?
Try using another 4-pin standard Peripheral power cable.

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#peripheral

(The IDE harddrive shown, is just an example of a device that uses a 4-pin standard Peripheral power cable. Mistakenly referred to as a 'Molex' power cable)

Make sure the interface cable (Data cable) is plugged in tightly.

Regards,
joecoolvette
