Wireless controller wont connect to console

Our wireless controller won't connect to our PS3. We have read and re-read the instructions and can't get it to work. I have looked for an online manual but can't find one.

my controller will not connect either! I read the directions over and over and nothing. I think intec is going downhill with "cheap as free ****!!"
I would recommend getting your money back!

You can find Windows drivers for your PS3 controller HERE. Read and follow the instructions available. These drivers even support wireless bluetooth connectivity which you can setup if your laptop has bluetooth. The developer of the driver includes a full tutorial on installing and configuring the PS3 controller.

Did they connect before and now won't or are these new bluetooth set up connections? If new connections:

In the XMB™ home menu, go to [Settings] > [Accessory Settings].
Select the "Manage Bluetooth® Devices" option to register (or "pair") a Bluetooth-compatible device with the PS3.

Playstation 3 help!

I think this is caused from your new ps3 not having the connection to your wireless box, try inputting the wireless key(back of the wireless box) into your ps3 on Network Settings. Hope this helps.

As long as your PS3 is equipped with the wireless feature the following instruction manual from Sony should help.

Wired nor wireless connections for my ps3 wont work

if you setup your wireless in adhoc mode like useing the pc wirless it wont work because ps3 doesnt see adhoc wireless.

and for the ethernet connection is the pc setup right. you have to enable internet sharing on the accuall interface that has internet..
If local area connection 1 is connected to internet and local area connection 2 is plugged into ps3 then under local area connection 1 settings you have to set share this connection and in the drop down menu select local area connection 2. other than that you need to buy a router.

i would suggest logging on to your home pc, checking the wireless settings then re-entering them into the PS3 internet settings, this happened to a familys PS3, but this solved it

Brian,

If after connecting to the USB it still won't work wireless, the best thing to do is this:

1 - Connect the controller to the PS3, via USB

2 - Click the PS Button to turn on the system

3 - On the XMB screen, click the PS Button again. You'll get the options, to "Turn off the controller". Do that and then turn it on again. It will reconnect with your PS3.

No this is not true. you can purchase wired controllers for the PS3 usually at a greatly reduced price than the wireless models. Most larger PS3 retailers should have stock of wired control pads so it would pay to do some more ringing around
