press *#7370# it will restore but you have to have ur security code for it..... normally it is 12345 or 00000

what is the brand of your phone?if nokia, the easiest solution of that problem is to format your phone but first you have to back up your important files. if you have memory card just save it in there and remove the memory card before you start the procedure so that memory card will not be affected. how to format? just type *#7370# and it will ask your security code. the default code is 12345 if you haven't change it. if you change your security code enter it start format your phone.

*#7780# - restores user defined settings to factory default settings. programs, calendars, and contacts are unchanged. you will be ask to input your security or lock code to proceed with the restoration.

*#7370# - reprograms your phone memory to factory default. all files will be deleted. you will be ask to input your security or lock code to proceed with the phone memory format. backup your messages, contacts, and other important data before proceeding. NOTE: this is equivalent to hard format for Nokia Series 60 1st edition phones (N7650, N3650/60, N-Gage/QD). If you are using Nokia Series 60 2nd and 3rd edition phone (N6600 and above), this code will not fully format your phone memory, you need to do the hard format (3-keys combo code) instead.

The best thing is to format the phone.

To format nokia Nokia 3230 mobile please follow the below steps.

Please download the software called as 'Psiloc System Tools'.

You can download the system tool software from below website

Install it in your phone memory.DONOT install in your memory card because we will be removing the memory card.

Remove the memory card

Open the installed software.

Go to 'TOOLS'

You will find the option called as 'format phone',select it.

It will ask for confirmation, confirm it and it will format your phone.

It will restart while formatting and this process takes several minutes.

Once the mobile is started your mobile is formatted.

NOTE: Formatting will delete all your content from your phone memory.Take back up before formatting.

You can remove the mmc but keep the sim card and restart your phone. Then press the keys *#7370#. The phone would ask a confirmation. Select yes. Then it will ask for a code. The code is 12345 (the default)..or your own selected security code.. There you are! your phone will restart with all the phone memory formatted.

hi guy you can type *#7370# when asked restore factory setting then type yes and when asked security code then type 12345

i dont exactly remember the menu
but i will help you to do that
you need to browse through the phone.

steps
-- go to menues
-- find settings option
-- go to settings
-- find phone option
-- go to phone
-- find default settings / restore settings / factory settings something similar to this
-- when you press ok it will ask for the security password
-- if it will not ask then you are lucky
-- but if it will ask
-- 0000 try first
-- if it dosenot work then try 12345
if none of them work means some one manually changes the security code..
-- you cannot format until you find the right code
--- if any of the code works then your phone is ready to format
-- after few minutes you will find your phone like the new one.

dont forget to save contacts and msg in to sim card as the format will delete everything from your phone.
