Simply dry another DVD.
NTSC disc is loaded. Your player requires PAL Region DVDs.
Nothing is wrong with the unit.

I'm guessing this is a new install? Or has it been installed and working?

  • Anonymous Jan 11, 2009

Ok, well cables rarely just go bad as has been suggested. If it was a new install it was possible you could have had a bad cable. If the dispay is initially showing the Alpine logo clearly and they showing you this warning. Unfortunately the problem is almost certainly in the head unit. I would make sure there are no loose connections, again not likely or else the problem would just be intermittent. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but something in the head unit has gone bad. It would like be fixable if there is a certified Alpine tech in your area, or the head unit will need replaced.

I wish I had better news for you. Sorry.

  • Anonymous Jan 11, 2009

Just to make sure, before you scrap it. Check the video output configuration and see if it's set on NTSC or PAL. If this setting got changed, it would also cause this issue. Check this first please. You probably want NTSC, but whichever it is set on, try the other and see if the problem goes away.

I changed some of the settings on my kmoon DVR and then when it restarted it says in it's incorrect signal video signal and now it won't I can't do nothing with it just keep saying no signal

This device should have a small hole that says "reset" in the back or side. With the device plugged in you need to trigger that button with a toothpick or a paperclip. Restoring the factory setting will restore your resolution and thus should fixya.

2. Incorrect cabling.
3. The backlight of the TV screen is abnormal or broken.
4. Objective factors, like whether and connection signal.

I have a HD 1080 Medallion TV and I just changed it to Direct TV and the color is now in Black and white. Is there anything on the remote to fix this?

More likely the cables from the Direct TV box and the TV are incorrectly connected. My guess is that you have red, green, and blue cables that carry to video signal and they are incorrectly connected or one of the cables is bad.

Hy does a colored tv record in black and white on

I suspect that you have the video standard is incorrect. Ensure you are recording in the same format as the signal you recieve. IE: NTSC or PAL. Whatever but they should both be the same. IE: Signal recieved = NTSC Video recorder must be set NTSC as well. Same goes for PAL.

Nintendo 64 game console, TV says no signal,

This usually indicates that you have the video cables connected incorrectly. The T.V. is just telling you that it's not getting any video signal from the console.

Check your connections, and if all looks well, perhaps the consoles video outputs or cable is shot.

Good luck.

What does it mean when my tv displays solid blue and white lines

There is either no input signal or the wrong input signal (mixed up audio and video or component/composite ). You may also be trying to view on an incorrect input (vid1/comp1/etc.).

No video, appears to be no video sync, diagonal rows of dots. Not an HDMI TV, switch is in TV position, cable checked ok by using a new cable, same problem

Sounds like you have an incorrect output signal from the Xbox or a fried chipset in the Xbox. Test the Xbox on another TV or monitor, test another video source on that same connection, if both of those fail, replace the Xbox. Hope it helps!
