I want to increase size of small items to make them more legible
Wow!!! Thanks for your most prompt response, billspeer! I've just tried your first suggestion, but there doesn't appear to be an option of upping the size via the printer. However, I confess to have limited technical knowledge, so perhaps there's something simple I I'm missing. Quite likely!
I tried scanning the form at a higher resolution, but that didn't work either. BTW, I'm using CanoScan Toolbox, and my scanner is the Canon LIDE 60 Flatbed Scanner.
I've also tried to increase the scanned or printed size using ArcSoft PhotoStudio, but to no avail.
I have checked out the online Help pages for both types of software (as above), but found nothing to assist me.
If you can provide a different solution, I'd be most grateful Thank you very much!!!
Re: I want to increase size of small items to make them...
Open the file with MS Paint (Start>Programs/All Programs>Accessories>Paint), go to Tools, then Stretch/Skew, then enter the size of the new image compared to the old. (100% is no change) Then click OK and save the file.

Open Personalization by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Personalization.
In the left pane, click Adjust font size (DPI).
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
In the DPI Scaling dialog box, do one of the following:
To increase the size of text and other items on the screen, click Larger scale (120 DPI)-make text more readable, and then click OK.
To decrease the size of text and other items on the screen, click Default scale (96 DPI)-fit more information, and then click OK.
To see the changes, close all of your programs, and then restart Windows.
Are you referring to the default text size Vista uses? Then, contrary to windows XP, in Vista you have to separately increase the text size for different instances. 1. Right click on the desktop and select personalize
2. Select Windows Color
3. Select the required item of which text size is to be increased.(for example: Icon, Message Box etc.)
4. Then you can change the text size, font, color, and font weight
You may have hit the "F11" key which takes the open window to fullscreen. "F11" toggles large, small... If not that, beboot. If that doesn't clear it up, then the display settings have gotten altered. Right click on the desktop, select "settings" and increase the resolution. Windows should prompt you to keep or reject the change. Select yes or no when prompted.
Set your printer to let you Preview before printing. From there, make sure you have the size upped to a percentage that will fill up the entire paper. You can also try scanning forms and such at a higher resolution initially. This will give you a bigger image to work with. Let me know if these are sufficient for your needs or need a different solution.
Hi.
Many ways to change the size of objects on the screen exist. Use the Dell QuickSet tool to change the size of icons and toolbars. Additionally, use the Display item in Control Panel to change the font size or the dots-per-inch (DPI) setting. Changing the DPI setting changes the size of all items on the screen. If the screen resolution setting makes items too small, the DPI setting can be increased to compensate.
