HP DeskJet 1055CM stops printing halfway through poster. What is the maximum file size the printer can handle?

I'm using the plotter at my uni so am unable to process the document on the computer. I think the plotter is running out of memory half way through the print so I need to know what is the maximum file size I can use before it just stops.

Thanks for the help Simon. I really Appreciate it. Have tried that already to no avail! Sadly! I think the poor thing may be coming to the end of its short but useful life!

I had the same problem and found out that my black ink cartridges was completely empty. I replaced it and it began working again.

Program/software you use to print? File details can be found at printer properties/printer setup. Disable File Detail/File Information.

in word, go to:
tools
options
print
include with document
uncheck document properties

Sent large file (500mb) to printer, says it is printing in Photoshop, in printer dialog box it says Printer on hold. Nothing is printing or happening. How do I take the printer off hold? I didn't pause...
Each coomputer-printer system has a maximum file size that is possible. I had tthis problem. This is what I had to do.

Restart printer and computer.....this removed hold on printer.
Sent the file to printer in smaller parts. Selected about 100mb at a time by selecting pages to print. Hope this works for you.

HP DesignJet 1055cm Plus system error: 04C300 001F0000.
Its either the EIO card, make sure its seated properly, or the hard disk drive has failed in your plotter. Try running the plotter with out the hard disk drive, it is static sensitive, so make sure your grounded before removing it.

Dead hard drive in 1055CM DesignJet Plotter to replace
you can run this printer without an hdd. disconnect the power from the hdd.you may have to disconnect the IDE controller (the small board that connects to the main pca) and disconnect the flat grey cable. this makes your DJ1055CM a DJ1050C it should print okay. you cannot format any hdd to work. you must buy the hdd from HP. if you can find one. good luck and i hope this helped.
