I have a ten-year old Sangean (Proton?) RS-330 with the companion RS-332. The RS-332 stopped playing, although the controls and buttons work fine. This is a fine unit and I'd like to get it fixed

Both AM and FM channels needs aerials to work. Usually the AM aerial is built in, and the FM aerial is a wire that need looping up. The other thing to check is that the volume control hasn't been turned down to zero.

The display itself may not be the problem which may be related to the power supply for it instead. Some technical skills and a decent multimeter is the minimum you should have to determine the source of the problem.

Hi, This could just be a sign that your Speaker system is wearing out , and done its due...Also have you had any Power Failures or surge's Lately , if so then it could of damaged the Speakers aswell..

With the TV on, I pointed the remote at the TV and kept hitting the on/off on the remote until the TV turned off. When it did, I knew that was the required code so I hit the stop button on the Universal remote. I did the same procedure with the DVD/VCR player and now they all work fine.

Remove the battery compartment door and the batteries. There should be a small hole marked "reset" under the upper battery cradle. Press (gently...until it clicks) and hold for 5 seconds. Replace batteries and try again.

your flexible control panel cable may have torn ( from loading and unloading ) - if there are leds ? in yours , the replacement part often does not have them ( many users miss them ) ; get an estimate , before committing to repairs on a 7 year old camera ( starts at $ 50 plus parts and shipping , here in puerto rico ) ;
