I don't have the installation cd. should i contact the computer shop where I got it to reinstall the program or can I find it somewhere in my computer I am totally a beginner

Anyway you don't have actually the nero installation disc provided with buying cd/dvd drive.
All you have to do is aside from Nero, there's a lot of burner programs which you can use in the internet like for example: Ashampoo Burning Studio, ImToo, Roxio, & etc..

If you cancelled in the middle of an update, it is just gone. You will have to reinstall.
Many of Nero's update will download the undates, uninstall the current software, then install the newer version. I have cancelled like this, and you will have to reinstall it.

Why Don,t you try installing Another CD Burning Program. Neros Not The Only One.
Try Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator, Or Look On The Internet For Burner Software For Download.
Nero needs to be uninstalled (using Nero Clean Tool) and then reinstalled after you have added a new lightscribe DVD drive. To correctly uninstall Nero go to Nero website to download Clean Tool application specific to your version of Nero.
