Re: Cannot make a thing show on screen, no menu, no...
With the cable box turned on, take the actual remote for the tv and press the imput button, you may have to keep pushing it until you find the right input.
Let me know if this helps.
I can assist further.

Sounds like you went into your TVs service menu and turned on Aging mode. Try pressing a button located on the TV (remote will not work), failling that, you might have to wait it out.
If you didn't come across this menu, if your still in warranty, take it to best buys geek squad and have them look at it.
that message means, you have the unstated PC, set to a super high resolution, that is totally ******* on this old screen,
buy a newer screen,
or change the resolution.
no PC stated , at all. model , is it HP?
no OS stated, if XP hit F8 and run safe mode and lower the resolution to 1024x768.
only these work,,never higher.

try the blue button, or menu,(then a square with 2 opposing arrows) and adjust there. I am assuming that Sony have not drastically changed button layouts)
Take the battery pack off and hit it (not too hard) with the palm of your hand. It SOUNDS CRAZY but my own camcorder had the exact same issue and all it took was one hit- put the battery back on then powered it up- VIOLA- it works! I am not kidding, try it. You'll save LOTS of $$$$$. This is NOT a joke.
The repairs may cost starting at $ 75.00 to $100.00 for the estimate and basic trouble shooting the final cost of the repair may be about $200 to $400.00 dllars depending on the price of the part and the labor that is charged.
I tried all the solutions offered on the net and none worked except one. It simply said "hit the camera with the palm of your hand" (when it is on) and the screen will return. I thought, well I have nothing to lose and so I hit it on the side and sure enough the LCD is again working !!!
If you lost the picture and even the menu does not show up on screen, then I will bet that your high voltage has shut down or the computer has stopped the picture because it has detected a fault in the vertical circuit. In either case this is something that cannot be reset with the buttons or remote and should be handled by a qualified tech.
