The vents might have glogged by some thing or maybe there is some airleaking from the doors and preventing the freezer to reach the necessary freezing temprature.check out.

F the refrigerator isn't cool, you need to answer some questions, then see if the compressor is running.

First, answer these questions:

  • Is the refrigerator completely dead? If so, see “It's stopped completely.”

  • Is the thermostat knob turned to the proper setting? If not, reset it.

Next, see if the compressor motor is running

The compressor is a football-sized case with no apparent moving parts. It's on the outside of the refrigerator at the back near the bottom. If it is humming or making a continuous noise and your refrigerator is still not cooling, there may be a more serious problem with one or more of several different components, we recommend contacting a qualified appliance repair technician for further help.

If the compressor is not running but you do have power to the refrigerator, there may be a problem with one or more of these:

  • The compressor

  • The Thermostat

  • The overload, relay, or capacitor

  • The defrost timer

  • The condenser fan motor

Since your fridge/freezer has been in storage the gas has settled, did the fridge/freezer get put on its side at any stage during the move?
This could have caused leakage out the breather pipe, have a look at the condenser at the back of the fridge, down low, you will see two hard pipes coming out of the tank, one leads up into the fridge the other doubles over, is open ended and facing downward, this is the breather and gas can escape from this pipe when the appliance is tilted to far over.
Chances are high that you will need to service this appliance.
its a good idea not to turn on immediately after moving. giving the gas time to settle again before turning on.
It could be the door seals need replacing as they can go hard over time when just sitting and no longer form a good seal on the door.

Hi
Is your fridge compressor motor working and can you hear it turn on and off every hour or so. Not to be confused with the sound coming from the fan inside the fridge.
If the motor is working but neither the fridge or freezer compartment are getting cold, then there may have been a rupture during transport and gas has escaped.

Mark Remove the rear panel in freezer. Apply 3n1 oil to fan motor shaft and plug in and spin. I believe they left the freezer shut and the moisture froze the shaft on fan with rust. Once restarted you will be fine. Sea Breeze

Freezer works, fridge doesn't cool

Probably excessive ice in the condensor. Likely defrost thermostat or defrost heater problem.

What happens is excessive ice keeps airflow from the refrigerator part of the unit.

Viking Pro VCBB36 -warming up + alarm

Over the past several years my heat alarm would come on, first time I called a PROFESSIONALLY, he told me to unplug for 24HOURS, than start it. The solution worked for two years, just happened again, unplugged it for 24 hours, and it seems fine. My guess it must need to defrost. Good luck!

Refrigerator will not get cold, but freezer works

Make sure your fan is working ,its located behind the freezers back wall. If it is working the vent from the freezer down to the refrigerator may be blocked (usually with ice). With out a fan you have no circulation but your freezer may look likes its working,it may last 3 days. Also if you can move everything out unplug it turn it off w/ doors open untill all traces of ice are gone this will free up any clogged tubes. Good luck.

Fridge and freezer not cold enough since we moved

remove the panel at the reaar of the freezer. you should have a full frost pattern on your evaporator (frosted not snow packed) and the fan should be running. if you do not have a full frost pattern then you have a sealed system leak. covered under the first five years of your warranty
