Color printing How do I brighten the color? I am attempting to print paintings. They are very bright and clear on the computer screen but they print very dark and drab. Any suggestion? thanks. jm

This is a laser printer not an inkjet.

Thanks for trying, I will check to see if the printer is set for picture quality.

To get the optimum quality print for your color prints of course everything has to be set just right. On your printer installation and print menu it will ask you if you want letter quality print or picture quality, make sure that you are using the right options in this case. Also be sure that all your ink cartridges are at least half full for print purposes. God bless you

How can i get the right touchup paint match for my car

Hi Robert:
Apart from trying to get a dealer colour code, Here's what I would do.
1) Take a picture in bright sunlight.
2) Download the picture to my computer.
3) Print the picture on my Canon printer.
4) Take the picture outside and compare to the car (on a sunny day)
5) Take the picture to my local Canadian Tire or Lordco or Napa store, and match to the "rattle can" paint selection.

Pictures appear 6 x 4 when developed on my Canon Selphy DS810. How can I change them to be developed 4 x 6 instead. I have pictures that have heads chopped off when developed 6 x 4. If I can change them...

What program are you using when you "develop" these pictures. I would recommend paint shop pro for all your photo/image editing needs. Once I have more information I can assist you further so please don't reject my help.
Thanks,
Lee

How do I change from offline?

Power it down, Unplug, clear out the Printer Que on your Computer and then reboot the Equipment. IF this does not fix it, you may have to delete the printer and reinstall into your computer... IF this a Wireless Printer, ensure you clean the Que before attempting to use it.,

Yellow ink will not print

You may have blocked yellow print head nozzles.

Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles.
After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the printthen a new print head is required.
A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase anew printer.
The Print head will contain all the nozzels for all the different colors so you cannot just replace a single color print head nozzels.

I have a MP280 printer/scanner/copier that prints my photos out to dark, when it is on the computer it is pefect colour

Open the printer driver setup window
Select the manual color adjustment (or if already in manual and it had initially been printing fine, you may opt to select Auto)
On the Main tab, select Manual for Color/Intensity, and click Set....
The Manual Color Adjustment dialog box opens.
Specify the brightness

Select Light, Normal, or Dark for Brightness, and click OK.
The current settings are displayed in the settings preview on the left side of the printer driver.
Complete the setup
Click OK on the Main tab.
When you execute print, the data is printed at the specified brightness.

Printer has ink but wont print in color test page wont print in color, also aligned printer and it worked in color. cleaned printer head as well which printed all the colors. what else can i do? It seems...

Take color copy, test all colors are OK..Go to printer properties, printing preferences, finishing check is there any check mark on print in black cartridge only? mark on print color..apply..OK.. give print command..
Go to paint draw a color drawing, print it.> check colors if its not printing in color it might be drivers issue.. un install the drivers re install once again check..> if printed in color check the file which you are printed..take another file.. then test..

Not printing in color

If the color was faded and the printing blurred, what I did was to check the nozzle pattern, align the print head and then calibrate the process. It's all in your manual. Once I completed those steps (just a few minutes), the printing was clear and the colors bright. Hope t his works for you.
